I once met you at DAB while you were waiting to meet a person who had threatened your life. After shaking your hand, I came back and asked you to call a friend who wanted to work in law enforcement. And you did. That encounter impressed me greatly, and statements like this make me even more grateful that you are my Sheriff. Thanks for all you do.

Most Florida Sheriffs back their deputies and take shit from nobody. Sheriff Mike Chitwood is no exception. He lets his deputies do the job they were hired to do.
