I got shot in the hand (guarding my head) with a bb gun in 1982. It's still in my hand because, if I told my dad what happened, I would have gotten my ass beat.

I broke two bones as a kid. My ankle and my hand and I got grounded both times because my Mom had to take time off work to take me to the hospital 😂🤣

This is so true. Gen x really did shoot bottle rockets and Roman candles at each other. My older brothers were shooting bottle rockets and Roman candles at each other when we were kids. Our uncle came out of the house and yelled "Stop" He comes off the porch and says, "You're too close. Back up." He then makes them go to separate parts of the yard and then yells "Ok go." If that isn't gen x, I don't know what is.

We were so feral they had to air TV commercials reminding our parents to find us and bring us inside for the night.

It’s true, many of us GenXers were built to be rebellious and resilient. When I was a kid, my brother built a bike ramp and had me lie on the ground in front of it while he soared over me, Evel Knievel-style. What a rush!
