And instead, what we found is that if you have a relentless focus on an economic agenda and you welcome people back, and you turn the political instinct from lecturing to listening, you can still have people come home to the democratic party, as long as you show them that's a party that will fight for working people, not those that are benefiting off the struggles of working people.

The MeidasTouch Network and I, at some point, were meant to be together because we share so many parallels in the issues we chase. I chase January 6th—they followed that closely. I’ve chased issues about political violence, threats to the separation of powers, and the breaking of democratic norms. They pursue that. We have a lot of the same audience. We have a lot of the same interests. And no, we will not platform lying, misinformation, or conspiracy theories, which have a way of infiltrating a lot of what we read, see, and hear each day. That’s the type of place where there is no value in conspiracy theories.

We opened the doors of the mosque a week after protesters came outside, and we invited them to come and talk with us. The event went amazingly well, some of those who protested were here, in addition to many other curios members of our society. We were asked tough questions about women's rights, the Prophet's ﷺ wives, and sharia law amongst many other topics and we gave honest answers. We made many new friends and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
