Eric was a great power drummer

Eric Carr was the best drummer in KISS. I loved his vocals singing Black Diamond. PC was critical to the early success of KISS. He brought a swing/big band style. EC was a hard rock drummer. Also criminally overlooked as an all time great.

Yeah, there’s never any mention of Carr when talking about the all-time greats

Also people forget Eric Carr had to push for the larger drums. GS and PS held him back on what he was allowed to do on drums. They pulled him back after Lick It Up. I had several conversations with him back in the day on tour.

I agree. I talked with Eric a couple of times and he expressed a lot of frustration with Paul.

He had a great voice! He is sorely missed. RIP Fox

Always loved Eric. Saw him 2x with his tank drum set. He’s nailing the vocals here! Something is off with the snare drum here. Sounds like a broken top head!

Love Eric Carr. Great drummer. Definitely overlooked as one of the best. I'm glad he was given his own character instead of being cloned into The Cat Man.

Eric was, HANDS DOWN, the best drummer KISS has ever had. Unpopular opinion, but as a fan since 1975, I believe the version of KISS with EC, Bruce, Gene and Paul was the most technically sound they ever were. And I’m a DIE HARD Ace fan.

It does hit differently. God bless his Sweet Soul. Most songs were faster during Eric's run . Peter was so soulful and one of the best "screamers" in rock. Could give you chills!!
