Eric Weinstein has arrived at the most intellectually uncomfortable position in the UAP debate. Not aliens are real. Not UFOs are nonsense. Something is producing persistent reports around sensitive military environments, governments apparently possess better data than the public, and after decades we still cannot reliably separate extraordinary phenomena from ordinary misidentification. At some point, withholding the evidence becomes part of the scientific problem. Genius is indeed occasionally located one suspiciously short walk from madness.

It's a bit of a mystery why he flipped. Because before, he didn't find any UAP testimony or other evidence even slightly convincing. Yet, now, he says it's because "serious people have spoken out". What? Serious people have been speaking about UAP for over 70 years. Why did none of that testimony move his needle? I think someone "talked to him" and that person was convincing enough, and in a position of authority, to make him flip. Hal wasn't enough before though.

The UAP Phenomenon is definitely one of the Big Questions of today but another is, surely, Is Weinstein’s hair real? 🤔

Here's a good piece of advice. Stop treating Weinstein like a high level theorist. He’s no Newton. Start treating him like an astro-turfed media personality, somewhere just below Bill Nye the science guy.
