Eritrea has every right to say “NO” to granting sea access if its national security is threatened and sovereignty is undermined, as recognized under international law. As a landlocked country, Ethiopia has multiple options for sea access, including Somalia, Djibouti, and others. Your party has squandered diplomatic opportunities and even attempted—through your generals and former President Mulatu—to rally the international community to bring destruction upon Eritrea, calling for “regime change.”
