@Mbhele_Xoli @SciTheComedist A lot of Eskom engineers current and former all say the same thing. There is no real reason why we should be having load shedding of this degree this is clearly a ploy to privatise.

@Mbhele_Xoli Eskom has the best engineers. Problem is the political interference and poor decision making at the top.If engineers can be given freedom and be the custodian to strategic decision making .

Eskom can't solve problems. Only REIPPs can." A strange phenomenon. I could not understand why machines can't just be repaired. Pravin Gordhan is the Executive Authority for Eskom. He presented Andre De Ruyter to Cabinet for the appointment as the CEO of Eskom Hld SOC Ltd. It is mind-boggling that today Pravin Gordhan says Andre De Ruyter lacked the power station experience. On what basis then did he recommend him to Cabinet to be appointed the CEO of Eskom? These leaders are not deserving their positions.

This plant is the reason why the CoCT can protect its residents from one level of loadshedding. When Eskom clients are on stage 2, City clients have NO loadshedding. Another R1.2 billion has just been invested in Steenbras to expand. A functional local govt that takes infrastructure investment & maintenance seriously.

MTETO NYATI - ESKOM BOARD CHAIR I am very glad that a way was found to get rid of Andre de Ruyter He was very toxic to Eskom employees. Eskom employees were demotivated to do the best they know how. André de Ruyter & his people kept undermining the capacity of Eskom plant & its employees. He kept accusing them of corruption They wanted the private sector to resolve problems which could be resolved by Eskom employees. He kept saying Renewables are the way to go, all power plants must be retired. Imagine if he had been kept till now. There would have been no country. These renewable companies have no capacity to set up their power generation toys. It's delays after the next.
