ESPN analytics guru Seth Walder thinks the worst-case for Washington in the Deebo Samuel trade is more problematic than I've been suggesting.

@SethWalder DK is not going for a 5th lol

Let’s dive into this week’s episode, where I discuss these key issues in the 🧵 above and other critical economic updates. Here: @NetChoice @taxreformer @Texas_Taxpayers @ceidotorg @aier #txlege #Trump #tech

@SethWalder Absolutely terrible take. 1) he hasn’t had a QB like he has now 2) low risk, very high reward for Washington 3) his attitude/mentality. Keep Adams away from here.

@SethWalder Crazy take. The Deebo hate is a little over blown. The dude obviously had 1 foot out the door, wasn’t motivated. He’s looking to get paid now, and will be at the very least healthier. His “floor” is his worst season of his career which is better than our WR2 last year.

@SethWalder Opportunity cost missed how exactly? The cap hit is meaningless considering they’re getting rid of Jon Allen. It’s basically a wash. They can get that 5 back by trading back a few spots off their first round pick. This is so low risk.

@SethWalder Didn’t Deebo have pneumonia last year?

@SethWalder It’s a terrible trade. He worsens the wr room

@SethWalder DK is going to require a 2nd at least I would think

@SethWalder Seemed like he was just hating the whole interview

@SethWalder Strongly disagree with this take. Deebos 17 game average is 1200 all purpose yards and 9 TD's. The Commanders were missing a screen/middle of the field/slot type WR with big play ability and Deebo gives them that with rushing upside. I don't see the downside other than injury.

@SethWalder I hate the trade. Just being honest. Every time I watch Deebo play I feel like he's off the field half the time cause he's injured.
