He is the legal advisor for the Association of University Teachers at the University of Zimbabwe and also a law lecturer at the same university. Gwisai said the strike by the academics is not just about the lecturers, who earn US$230 (R4,181) a month, but also about the underpaid working class of Zimbabwe.
