The office of The ODM Party’s Secretary General is not a platform for personal opinion. It is an institutional role that demands discipline and loyalty to the party constitution. Edwin Sifuna has failed in this duty. If he wishes to pursue a different political path, that is his democratic right. Babu Owino: Sifuna vowed to protect Baba’s interests within the party. Sifuna has not left the party, it is some of the party officials who allegedly suspended Sifuna from the position of the SG. Sifuna has always said he is the SG. He went to court and the court has stated clearly that he is still the SG of ODM. I have not heard him talking about leaving ODM. H.E Edwin Sifuna's CONSISTENCY is unmatched! It takes an extremely principled human being to be this steady and truthful no matter the times, situations or even conditions. Right from when Baba Raila Odinga was alive Sifuna was speaking the same language he's speaking even when we lost our hero and legend. This was the true position of the ODM Party. Baba sat there and listened to Sifuna speak and whenever he stood up, he affirmed that, that was the position of the party and as communicated by the spokesperson of the party! Nothing can change this. Kenyans returned the favour to Omwami for his constituency!
