🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺 JUST IN: NATO prepares war plans for a possible Russian attack NATO has developed three scenarios for responding to a potential Russian assault, including an attack on the Baltic states. The plans focus on stopping a Russian offensive and striking military infrastructure used to sustain it. Reported targets include missile systems, airfields, weapons factories, bridges and railways, with Kaliningrad also identified as a potential target. NATO is also reportedly planning an “autonomous zone” along parts of the Russia and Belarus border, where drones and robotic systems could operate heavily. The reported plans include the use of drones against military targets deep inside Russia. NATO says the objective would not be to occupy Russian territory, but to push Russian forces back to the alliance’s borders. The message to Moscow is blunt: an attack on NATO could trigger strikes far beyond the battlefield.

🇷🇺🇫🇮🇪🇪🇱🇻 By executing sudden logistical shutdowns along its western borders, Moscow is intentionally cutting transportation ties with neighboring NATO states while rapidly reinforcing military positioning in the region. Today, Russia banned any movement of people, vehicles, goods, and cargo by rail across its borders with Finland, Estonia, and Latvia. ⚠️The restrictions apply to the following checkpoints and crossings: 🔺 With Finland — including train routes toward Finland from Saint Petersburg, Vyborg, and Svetlogorsk, as well as Vyartsilya and Lyukhty in Karelia. ⛔️In addition, crossings are closed at Pechory on the Estonian border and Pytalovo on the Latvian border. ◼️ Moscow has not explained these atypical actions and has not specified when the restrictions might be lifted. 🔹Information about the closure of border checkpoints emerged amidst Russia expanding its military infrastructure along the NATO border. According to reports, Russia is constructing new barracks, ammunition depots, and logistical facilities near the borders of Finland, Norway, and the Baltic countries, with plans to station up to 115,000 troops there in the future. A Ukrainian drone crashed in the Kastre Rural Municipality of southeastern Estonia as they were flying to attack Russia's Ust-Luga Port. Locals reported the sound of a drone over their houses, before explosions. Additionally, during the night, air alerts were issued for Parnu in western Estonia, around 180 km from the Russian border. Ukrainian drones have now crashed in NATO territory during 4 out of the 5 Ukrainian attacks on Russia's Baltic Sea Ports. This is additional evidence that some Ukrainian drones are utilising NATO airspace during their flight paths to evade Russian air defence.

🚨🇷🇺☢️🇪🇺 Russia’s Embassy in Ireland has issued an explicit nuclear warning to NATO, saying Moscow would be prepared to use its full arsenal, including nuclear weapons, if alliance members attempted to isolate Russia’s Kaliningrad region from the rest of the country. In a lengthy statement, the embassy rejected Western warnings about a potential Russian attack on Europe and argued that NATO military exercises and deployments along Russia’s western borders are instead increasing the danger of confrontation. It singled out the Gallant Boar 2026 exercise involving Lithuania, Poland and France and referred to claims that NATO could impose an air and maritime blockade on Kaliningrad. Citing Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the embassy warned that an attempt to isolate the exclave could lead to armed confrontation and claimed Russia could carry out strikes against NATO decision-making centers during the opening stages of such a conflict. 🔥 The statement represents unusually direct nuclear signaling tied to a specific hypothetical NATO action. It does not establish that such a blockade is planned, but it demonstrates how Moscow is publicly framing the security of Kaliningrad as an issue that could trigger rapid and potentially nuclear escalation in a confrontation with NATO. ‼️🇺🇲🇷🇺🇵🇱 BIG | Russia is preparing for a large-scale military provocation, which could take place against Poland or one of the Baltic states. The US has warned Poland that the Russian Federation is preparing an armed provocation in the coming months, The Telegraph and the Polish publication Onet report, citing intelligence services. Russia's target could be Poland's critical infrastructure via missiles and drones, or Russian soldiers might cross the border into NATO territory. Washington has already sent several warnings to Warsaw about this plot, sources close to Polish President Karol Nawrocki told the Polish news outlet Onet, which, along with The Telegraph, is owned by Axel Springer and is part of its Global Reporters Network. The purpose of the Russian provocation would be to escalate tensions and force Western allies to halt aid to Ukraine. This could begin in a few months. Polish security service sources also do not rule out a more conventional attack, such as a small-scale ground incursion by Russian soldiers onto NATO's eastern flank. According to Onet's security service sources, provocation scenarios could include drone attacks on critical infrastructure like power plants, or simulated airstrikes, forcing Poland to activate its air defense systems. A Polish intelligence source stated that in the most extreme scenario, a "hybrid attack in the border region" could occur. According to the same source, an armed incursion involving Russian or Belarusian soldiers is possible. This could be presented by Russia as an accidental crossing into Polish territory due to a GPS malfunction, or as a suspicious rescue mission to retrieve a damaged helicopter. Polish sources told Onet that Russia hopes that in such a situation, instead of opening fire on Russian or Belarusian soldiers, the US would pressure Poland to negotiate with Russia or Belarus rather than respond with force. A scenario in which the Russians leave Poland as a result of these negotiations, rather than through military coercion, would be seen as a victory from Moscow's perspective. During such negotiations, in exchange for withdrawing troops from Poland, Russia's main demand could even be the termination of Western support for Ukraine. "The US systematically provides information to Poland about new Russian plans for a conventional attack on NATO's eastern flank, from which Poland is by no means excluded," said a source close to the Polish President. A second source, an ambassador of one of Poland's NATO allies, also confirmed that a provocation in the Baltic states and Poland is a serious risk. This information was confirmed by a third source within the Polish Ministry of Defense. A fourth security source from the Baltic states confirmed to The Telegraph that such plans are indeed being discussed in Moscow. Following this, Russia might attempt to claim that the provocation was carried out by Ukraine. Any ground attack by Russia could be launched either from Kaliningrad—Russia's exclave north of Poland where nuclear weapons are stationed—or from the east, via Belarusian territory. Such methods are Russia's only realistic way to stage a provocation. Because its forces are bogged down in Ukraine, it lacks the resources to wage a full-scale war against NATO allies. Although Poland remains a committed security ally of Ukraine, relations have become strained in recent months due to differing views on World War II-era history and the competitive agricultural industries of the two countries. There are fears that Moscow will attempt to widen this rift even further. In the worst-case scenario for NATO, Russia's goal would be to undermine Polish sovereignty, portray NATO as a "paper tiger" (demonstrate its helplessness), and force the cessation of Western support for Ukraine—all without triggering a conventional war with the alliance. 🇷🇺 Andrey Bezrukov, advisor to the CEO of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, stated yesterday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (which itself came under Ukrainian attack) that Russia will remain in a state of war for the next “two decades”. According to him, Russia must learn to live under wartime conditions, and its state system and economy must be restructured not only for development but also around defense. He also noted that two “wartime generations” will be formed in Russia and admitted that Ukrainian drone strikes, which now reach any region of the country, have become a serious problem for which Russia was unprepared. This is a very frank and long-term assessment coming from a senior figure within the Russian establishment. The admission that Russia is preparing for decades of war, along with the recognition of the serious threat posed by Ukrainian drones, reflects the growing realism (and concern) even among those close to the Kremlin’s power structures.
