I cannot wait to go on this at least 5 times when I return later this month. Such an amazing and nostalgic ride for me especially since we don’t have it in Hollywood anymore!

I believe these are effects long since turned off from the 90s. I loved riding through the fog back then.

Yes. Now bring back the steam in the dying planet scene and the movement of the first Jeep and we’d be all back

I adore this ride. Only get to visit Universal once every half decade if that and it's always the first ride. It's a classic!

Is that extended refurbishment still happening ?

We’ll see. I would assume that would be ride system stuff, as tons of effects, lighting, and even animatronics have already been improved over the last couple years, slowly but surely.

Looks great but would it kill them to really upgrade the ET naming people gimmick? I mean with the speaker, clearer audio, less likely to get a name wrong and I’m not saying use AI for him to read off of, but it feels like that aspect hasn’t been touched in 30 years

Still feels like the first time I rode it.

Idk if you caught it too but the audio of them trying to find E.T. beginning chase seemed to be new/extended a bit. I've ridden it so many times small details like that I notice lol. The fog is definitely a nice touch!

They tweaked the timing and increased the volume for that bit A LOT a couple months ago I noticed for sure.
