Ethan Klein continually called Hasan an anti-semite within the debate for including the context that Jews in Iraq were unfortunately associated with colonial powers & how it influenced their displacement. Here is Avi Shlaim making that SAME claim in the SAME interview E clipped.

And here is even more valuable context that Hasan attempted to include about the displacement of Jews after the Nakba that Ethan insisted was flat-out wrong and antisemitic. Again, this is all in the same interview that Ethan played from within the debate.

He made the same stupid argument when he brought up Algeria. They didn't kick out "the jews", they kicked out the French, who a lot of happened to be Jewish (and overwhelmingly supportive of the colonial regime)

So are we saying that "associating [local] Jews with colonial powers" as the population throughout the Arab world did throughout the period *isn't* antisemitism though?
