insane gaslighting comparing "validators" (called stake accounts on SOL) to nodes on Solana since no one non technical will know what it is (perhaps including OP himself) By this logic, I am not bald because I have hair on my legs and I changed the word bald to mean hairless legs ETH full node count is barely 2.5x Solana and no, 92% doesnt run on one client Happy to debate this fella or the other bald at any time on any stage with any host if they'd like to learn in public

Ethereum does not have a million validators. Please stop gaslighting everyone into thinking a 32 eth stake account is a validator Ethereum has about 8,000 validators. Which is still impressive, but not 1m.

If we can’t be intellectually honest with our arguments we don’t deserve $10k ETH

Kinda crazy you don't even question this, laura.

There is no second best.

1 million validators in the big 26 lmao

A lot of the so called “ETH” killers just had very good marketing campaigns where they pretended as if ETH had a culture problem and that they were the newest, superior shiny tech. But each cycle proves they’re neither. How many “ETH killers” have we had now, which have never made it past their previous ATH and are either ghost chains or well on their way to being ghost chains? Eveyone remember ADA? LOL.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

What is this data from 2021? lmao. Institutions are gunna learn the hard way what everyone else found out over the last 4 years.

FT @joechalom

eth the original L1 and alyways will be the market leader

Millions of 32ETH stakes =/= validators when will people in this industry stop with the used car salesman level of bullshiting

This is just wrong on so many levels. Ethereum validators aren’t separate servers 😂 Let’s compare likeness to likeness next time

False lies lol. Crazy

@fundstrat Solana clients Anza, Firedancer and now Mithril. @bw_solana would be able to highlight the exciting things as well as trade offs

Ethereum wins.

This is EXTREMELY misleading. Since there is a 32 ETH minimum per-validator, stakers break up larger ETH amounts into multiple validators, ON THE SAME PHYSICAL MACHINE (to increase odds of earning rewards for their ETH amount). Somebody with 3,200 ETH could be running 100 validators on the same machine. This does NOTHING to increase decentralization.

This is total nonsense Ethereum has 1800 full nodes you talking garbage and spreading misinformation

Why would a million validators be a good thing for solana? It takes insane levels of engineering to get this level of speed and connectivity. And let’s be clear 1m validators and all the stake is in maybe 10-50 anyway

@fundstrat 💯 - just buy $ETH and chill

solana winning on dex volume and fee revenue while ethereum wins on validator count, client diversity, and developer community. both are true simultaneously. the question is which metrics is more important for your specific thesis.

@fundstrat Decentralization matters

a million validators lol

You need 32 ETH to make a solo validator…. Almost all existing ones are controlled by CEX or Pools…. Power is already concentrated in the hands of a few!

@joechalom lack research is unbecoming

ETH is a washed up boomer narrative.

Ethereum is the most decentralized ledger on Earth and vastly more decentralized than other smart contract blockchains, but a virtual validator is NOT an independent entity. One physical node can run thousands of virtual validators.

A million?

Ethereum as a culture problem. Everyone outside ef that gets paid by ef agrees with this. Let's launch a poll.

What a load of shit, get your facts straight.

eth discourse is funniest when everyone acts like it has to win every week. boring infra that keeps compounding is still a pretty good lane

🦉

Why would anyone with such a high technical understanding of protocols would compare 2 separate entities? Validators are NOT nodes. I dont care what better, solana or ethertem. But if you cater for the public, data analyses should be precise
