#Axum: after more than three years of disruptions, Ethiopian Airlines first passenger’s plane for domestic flights landed at the Atse Yohannes IV Airport in the historic city of Axum in the #Tigray regional state today. The airport had been out of service due to damages sustained during the two-year brutal war in the Tigray region. The plane carrying 140 passengers including the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfen Tasew, as well as federal and regional officials, was welcomed upon arrival at the airport earlier today, according to the local Tigray TV. The ceremony was attended by various regional officials, including the President of the Tigray Interim Administration, Getachew Reda, and other senior regional government officials. Local community members, including religious leaders were at airport witnessing the landing of the domestic flight, which will be a vital means to revive Axum’s economy mainly from tourism that was shattered by the war. Mogadishu airport got its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner before Hargeisa airport. Don’t forget Ethiopian Airlines had only resumed flights to Somalia in 2018 after 44 years of ban. Hargeisa hosted its first Boeing 737 back in 2013. When will Reer Somaliland wake up about this bulshit and when will we held accountability for those who responsible on these fields???????

WHY DOES AIR CONGO BOEING 787 STILL HAVE AN ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TAIL? The aircraft is operating for Air Congo under a wet-lease from Ethiopian Airlines, but the tail remains in Ethiopian colors because the rudder is a flight-control surface. Repainting or changing decals on the rudder can affect its balance, requiring additional maintenance, inspections, and recertification. Looks like Air Congo wanted it quick. 📹: Skystef
