Times Square - New York City 🇺🇸 The origin of this place was known as Long Acre Square, but it was renamed Times Square after being located in 1904, at the intersection of 42nd Street, the offices of the New York Times. In 1913, the newspaper’s offices moved to 229 43rd Street, and the building was renamed 1 Times Square in 1961. History of Times Square, at the beginning of the 20th century, Times Square became one of the most important places in New York City, with the construction of theaters, restaurants and luxury and first class hotels. The site began to change in the 30’s where it became a dangerous place with prostitution, crime and drugs, this lasted for more than half a century. History of Times Square During the 1980s, Mayors Ed Koch and David Dinkins began a redevelopment project for Midtown Manhattan that included Times Square. In the 1990s, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani tackled the project to clean up the area with the closure of pornographic theaters, sex shops and the purchase of the nine historic theaters on 42nd Street by the State of New York. According to the church, a man entered the building pretending to attend Holy Mass before suddenly launching into a violent outburst. A video of a Catholic priest breaking down in tears and struggling to raise the chalice above his head while saying the consecration prayers during Mass spread across social media this week, prompting the priest to issue a statement through his diocese. “Take this all of you and drink from it: For this is the chalice…” Father Brent Bowman prayed at the altar, followed by a six-second pause while celebrating Mass for the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in Hopkins, Minnesota, on Sept. 14. He continued the consecration prayer through tears and then sobbed for nearly one minute at the altar, struggling to raise the chalice. He continued to cry as he raised the chalice and was weeping as he knelt before the blood of Christ after the consecration. Bowman’s emotional response to the consecration was captured on video because the parish livestreams its daily Masses on YouTube and it spread across social media platforms, with many viewers wondering what prompted the reaction. In his statement, he explained that he did not witness what the Church considers a “Eucharistic miracle,” such as when the accidents of the bread and wine apparently change in some way along with the substance. ⚠️NEW Karmagawa SCHOOL #125 IS OFFICIALLY NOW OPEN! ⚠️ Today is my birthday and I know of no better way of celebrating than opening a new school so I just flew from Colombia to Bali to attend the grand opening of The Unity School, our 2nd school with my good friend Lance Breitstein 🇺🇸🌎 (thanks again Lance, you rock but please come here to Bali in person too!!) and it was one of our best openings EVER…wait until you hear how talented these kids are! This new and improved Unity School is double the size of the previous school here so now double the number of kids can be educated and we also got rid of all the harmful asbestos that the children and teachers were sadly previously breathing in every day! This is Saint Sophia of Kyiv. Perhaps the main national shrine and historical treasure of Ukraine -- and, of course, one of Kyiv’s most important landmarks, which many of you know well. This ancient cathedral has stood on the spot in Kyiv where, according to legend, Yaroslav the Wise, the greatest ruler in the history of this land, won a great victory over nomads and saved the city. It is dedicated to Sophia, Divine Wisdom. It was this wisdom that made prince Yaroslav famous through the ages and helped him prevail in battle -- despite the physical disability that caused him to walk with a limp. For a thousand years, its priceless frescoes and mosaics have looked down from its vaults and arches. Among them is the legendary Oranta, a six-metre-high image of the Virgin Mary with her arms outstretched. It has long been said that as long as she stands in Saint Sophia, Kyiv will stand as well. This is far more than even a remarkable medieval cathedral, it is a symbol. Saint Sophia of Kyiv plays a central role in my book, and its image runs through the entire narrative, literally to the last page. The cathedral has shone in all its glory, fallen into severe neglect and a plundered ruin, and risen again in a new form. It feels as though, throughout these centuries, Ukraine and its people have been much like Saint Sophia itself.

On August 16, 1944, an American colonel Welborn Barton Griffith Jr. was given an order to target a Catholic Cathedral in France— which allegedly had Nazis inside. His gut told him this order was odd—so he questioned it, volunteering himself to cross enemy lines to see if the Nazis were in fact inside. Accompanied by another soldier, they learned that the intelligence they had received was wrong, the Cathedral was empty. They rang the Cathedral bell to signal to their fellow Americans not to attack. This is not the first time that Americans were inexplicably told to bomb and/or destroy Churches and monasteries at the end of the war… Yesterday we arrived 20,000 strong at the Chartes Cathedral, still standing. After having walked 60 miles in 3 days through rain, mud, and scorching sun, some arrived being carried by others—most of us limping with blisters and bruising. But what a sight. To see the spires of the Cathedral—the French citizens of this small town lined up on their lawns waving their flags, applauding to greet us, holding their children, and joining in Latin prayer is something I will never forget. 🇫🇷🇺🇸

After having walked 60 miles in 3 days through rain, mud, and scorching sun, some arrived being carried by others—most of us limping with blisters and bruising. But what a sight. To see the spires of the Cathedral—the French citizens of this small town lined up on their lawns waving their flags, applauding to greet us, holding their children, and joining in Latin prayer is something I will never forget. 🇫🇷🇺🇸

There is a marble quarry in the Italian Alps that has been working since 1387, but in 639 years it has had only one customer... The quarry is at Candoglia, at the mouth of the Ossola valley. On 24 October 1387, Gian Galeazzo Visconti decided that the cathedral going up in his city should be built of marble rather than brick, and handed the quarry over to the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, the body established to build it. He also granted the stone free passage down the waterways to Milan. The blocks went by raft from the river Toce into Lake Maggiore, down the Ticino, along the Naviglio Grande, then through a system of locks into a small lake in the centre of the city, a few hundred metres from the site. The bargemen carried the letters AUF, for "ad usum fabricae", for the use of the works, which cleared the cargo through customs without charge. People in Lombardy still say "a ufo" for something got for nothing, and the phrase is traditionally traced back to those barges... Mark Twain came in 1867 and noticed something most visitors walk past: "We saw a new statue put in its niche yesterday alongside of one which had been standing these four hundred years." It has never stopped: around a thousand tonnes of Candoglia marble still comes out of the mountain every year, and all of it goes to the same building. In a workshop in the Certosa district, sculptors cut replacements for whatever the weather has eaten away, from the same stone, for the same institution, founded in 1387. The cathedral was declared finished in 1965 but the quarry never stopped, because a cathedral like this is not something you complete... it is inherited, kept, and handed on. As John Ruskin wrote in The Seven Lamps of Architecture: "When we build, let us think that we build forever. I know these streets. I lived in Karachi. I did my engineering in Karachi. So when I watch this enormous celebration moving from Empress Market towards Teen Talwar , I understand exactly what it means for the city. It practically cripples Karachi. Roads are taken over, traffic comes to a standstill and, for a while, one of the busiest cities in the world has to make room for this extraordinary expression of faith. And you know what? I love it. Let them have the streets. Let them celebrate. Let them sing their prayers and call out the name of Ram. Let their children see their parents and grandparents celebrating without fear or apology. Look beyond the traffic and the inconvenience and see what is actually happening: freedom is taking up space. Karachi belongs to them too. Having lived there, I know the scale of what I am watching. It reminds me of the great processions of Bombay — a huge city temporarily surrendering part of itself to faith, colour, humanity and celebration. That is the beautiful thing. For too long, India and Pakistan have allowed religion to become a dividing line between us. Yet here, on the streets of Karachi, is another possibility: Hindus celebrating their faith openly in a Muslim-majority country while fellow Pakistanis make space for them. To my Hindu brothers and sisters: this is your home. Celebrate it. Enjoy it. Be proud of it. And when I hear the joyful cries of “Jai Shri Ram,” I do not hear a threat to my own faith. I hear another human being expressing theirs. That is the Pakistan I want. It is called the camarín of the Virgin of Victory, and it is hidden at the top of a tower inside the Santuario de la Victoria. To reach it, you climb and the ascent is the entire point... The building you are climbing through was completed in 1700, and it was designed as a single argument made in stone. At the bottom lies a crypt: a black chamber crowded with white plaster skeletons, a meditation on death and the brevity of life. From there a staircase rises, and as you climb it the light grows stronger and the imagery changes from bones to saints. The architects of the time understood this ascent as the soul's own journey, the dark crypt as the stage of penitence, the staircase as the stage of spiritual progress, and the room at the very top as the final stage: the union of the soul with the divine. That room at the top is the camarín, and its dome is one of the most extraordinary interiors in Spain... Every surface is covered in white and gold plasterwork. There is no empty space anywhere. The Baroque called this horror vacui, the horror of the void: the conviction that a space meant to represent heaven should not contain a single bare patch of stone. Out of that plasterwork emerge angels, flowers, birds, and mirrors. The mirrors are not decoration alone. They catch the light pouring in through the windows of the drum and throw it around the chamber, so that the gold seems to move and the whole room appears to shimmer and breathe. This wonder was built by people who believed that if you wanted to show a human being what heaven might feel like, you did not describe it to them. First, on the 17th of May 2025, we started . With Sir Dickson 's push, the likes and retweets from my mutuals and of course the patronage and referrals from my customers, we were able to stabilize the business and even scaled it. Now that has generated enough revenue and of course profit, it is time for the business to start funding itself and to do that we have decided to invest heavily in Branding and Publicity. Ladies and Gentlemen, starting from today, our customers will now receive their packages(mostly the small items like laptops, phones and other mini gadgets) in our branded boxes, cartons, Nylons and gift bags because we understand that presentation and packaging matters. The way the package comes is as important as the quality of the package itself because beyond anything else, when you buy from , you are paying for the full experience.
