Umps literally stole this game from Seattle in Game 7. Go look at the highest leverage missed call. Polanco in the 7th with 2 runners on. Then he swung at another ball in the exact same spot. Ball touched his shoelaces.

It is definitely not a cutter, pretty sure they’re both sweepers and one just broke a little more

I'm not upset about the call, I just wish the calls were consistent. Really unfair especially in such a pivotal moment.

Batters rely on consistency and adjust accordingly. Geno was right to be frustrated. Further, when Jays fans like to argue that the first should have been called a strike instead of a ball so he shouldn’t have even gotten to pitch 7 and should have struck out sooner, I’d argue that he wouldn’t have checked on pitch 4 if there were 2 strikes in the count at that point. He checked because he had room decide he didn’t like that pitch and didn’t want to go for it. So no, we don’t know that he would have struck out earlier if ball 2 had been called a strike. Every call changes the trajectory or the game. Butterfly effect.

Umps did this all series. Call one thing a strike/ball and change there minds later it was horrible

Nah that’s not a reason to be frustrated. Even if it was called a ball the first time, it was real close. Suarez can’t expect to get that call again. He knows that though. This is just frustration.
