Europe is responding to US aggression by quietly disengaging from all things American. It's shocking how quickly it's dropping financial, tech, defence and software ties with the US.

The United States lost its last leverage when it started weaponizing the USD sanctioning people left and right and cutting them off from the US monetary system, like Visa, Mastercard, and co. Did they think there wouldn't be consequences? Of course the world is watching.

It’s always amazing to me that we’ve had these instant direct payment capabilities for over 22 years in Nigeria. It initially took one business day for transactions to clear. Then 15 years ago, it became instant. Yet the more advanced economies are still struggling to break the chokehold of credit card companies till today.

No, this is nothing different from pay by echeck. There are no consumer protections for this. Aba / debit card you have 3 business days to appeal a transaction, CC you have 90 days from transaction or statement depending on CC policy. This tech is stuff we in the states have had for at least 10-15 years. So I guess you’re right on schedule for adoption!

Wait til fake charges show up. Banks don’t just say ‘ok’, here’s a refund like visa etc. Banks take 6 wks to investigate while u sit w/out $$. US has had it forever. U learn the hard way.
