But the American way is not complete. What happens if you have the following equation instead? 9(x + 7) +2 = 83 The European way will run a similar algorithm. The American one, won't.

i only see an american pretending to be better than a european… there is no european or american way to solve this equation… there is only MATHS !!! and those who know how to play with 😎

I do the European method as an American. It is easier if 9 wasn't divisible by 81.

In europe both methods are allowed and used
