They have 7 appointed presidents: These are the main appointed leadership (“presidency”) roles within the Commission. The President assigns portfolios, and the entire College of 27 Commissioners (one from each Member State) is appointed collectively after nomination by Member States, hearings in the European Parliament, and formal appointment by the European Council. The common currency has one draw back, not every nation gets to borrow money equally. Germany pays less than let say Greece. That issue needs to be resolved.Otherwise best system and hope that a continent that was at war for millennia can have peace

Tying Canada to the EU means importing their economic stagnation. EU compliance costs businesses ~$176B/yr while they import over 58% of their energy. They need our raw resources, we don't need their bureaucracy.
