♦️Langeloop Clinic♦️ The Member of the Mpumalanga Legislature deployed by the EFF Honorable Ngrayi Ngwenya visited Langeloop clinic yesterday to do an assessment on their operations after residents complained that the Clinic is a 24 hour Clinic but every time when there’s load shedding the clinic is closed and it doesn’t operate. Upon his arrival he was told that the generator got damaged in October 2025 and since then the clinic does not operate during load shedding despite the matter being reported to the department for intervention. A clinic is an essential service and in any case should not be disrupted by lack of electricity. The department has an obligation to explore alternatives in situations where the area is affected by load shedding or reduction so as to keep the lights on and give uninterrupted service to the people of Langeloop and surrounding communities that are far from the regional hospitals. This matter was reported in October last year and to date the department has not acted on it.
