Even after 80 years of Independence, our govt schools still lack basic amenities. I spoke to the Sarpanch of my village, who has assured that the Panchayat will resolve all these issues within a week. Change is possible when we come together and act. #SchoolThikKaro

My Insta TL is filled with such reels. Yes, our many public places are dirty. Yes, many of our people still lack civic sense. But all of this is temporary. Things can change, and that change has to start with us. Loved seeing people taking matters into their own hands to keep our country clean. Hope is everything. And I truly hope we can come together and change our country for the better, forever 🤞

The basic picture has not changed — if the US doesn’t cut the deficit to 3% of the GDP, and soon, we risk facing an economic heart attack in the next three years. The good news is that these cuts are possible. If we change spending and income (tax returns) by 4% while the economy is still good, the interest rate will go down as a result and we’ll be in a much better situation. And we know this kind of balance is possible because it happened between 1991-1998. My fear is that we will probably not make these needed cuts due to political reasons, and will have even more debt and debt service encroaching on our spending that will ultimately lead to a serious supply-demand problem.

Democracy is never of a kind where the same party will ever come to power. We have seen in our lifetimes, the change takes place at state level, at panchayat level, at municipal level, that's a democratic process. But one thing is for sure, there has to be continuity of development, continuity of our civilisational ethos, and that comes only from one aspect. We must respect democratic culture. India is perhaps the only country in the world that has constitutionally structured democracy at all levels. Before 30 years, we had constitutional democracy only in the State legislature and Parliament. But now we have constitutional democracy at the village level, at panchayat level, and the district level. #RajyaSabha

The fear of not being enough, of not succeeding, of not meeting others’ expectations, keeps us imprisoned. Facing our own vulnerability is an act of courage. Starting to accept who we are is the first breath of fresh air.

Yesterday, we set out to attempt to resolve economic puzzles of far greater magnitude and scale than those that confronted us some ten years ago. This dialogue is therefore an opportunity to reflect on our economic reality, address pressing challenges, and chart a course towards a more prosperous future for all our citizens. It is my hope and prayer that the lessons that will emerge from these conversations will guide our steps, that we may not repeat the mistakes of recent years.

I was absolutely privileged to visit the govt school in Medipallikalan, near Parigi. It is the best run govt school I have seen in Telangana. The credit goes through the Village and the school principal Kajha Mohiddin. He worked in the same school for 14 yrs and involve the entire village to make it a success. When he was transferred, the whole village protested in front of the collectrate and got him back. Public education system/Govt. Schools in Telangana is totally destroyed. The previous TG govt killed and the present govt is unable to revive it. In the past a majority used to go to govt schools Add few to private schools. It is the opposite now. The community needs to get involved and the community needs to be empowered to have a say in the running of the govt schools. The Medipallikalan Govt. School model needs to be replicated. I want to make at least 50 schools in my constituency, like this one.
