They see the pain carried by their parents, they understand where the decay began and how it spread - still, they do their best not to let it rot them from within. There are those who have been hurt by their parents, yet still love them, not because their parents were perfect but because they choose to love what is imperfect and to honour the origin point of a part of themselves. Yet many carry immense guilt even in admitting their parents failed them. Their compassion is so great that they hold themselves back from facing the full weight of the truth they deserve, always one step removed, always at arm's length, unable to let it land because of that guilt. But the body remembers. The truth is, both can be true. You can despise the decay and pain that has been unleashed upon you without guilt and honour your own suffering, your own journey - at the same time, you can acknowledge how your parents came to be as they are, through the weight of their own unhealed and unresolved pain. Similarly, those who feel immense resentment and hate towards their parents often find, in the quiet moments before they fall asleep, that a part of them still longs to connect - a subtle whisper of desire always remains, because they carry hope. Hate is just corroded love, it is not indifference. It is love unresolved and suspended, pooled like still water. The most heartbreaking part is that they feel disgust, sometimes even hatred, towards themselves for wanting this. Yet no matter how much they rationalise, a part of them will always long for it. Heartbreaking 💔 Today, we witnessed a heartbreaking sight a father-son duo loading a poor donkey with more weight than his fragile body could bear. The animal wasn’t even old enough to carry such a burden, yet was being pushed beyond limits in the name of livelihood. Yes, we understand people depend on them for work… but in this age, with so many humane alternatives available, choosing to exploit an innocent, speechless being is nothing but cruelty. In Noida, And Delhi Mayur Vihar, Khadar & Pusta roads—hundreds of animals were trapped when the floods arrived. Many lives were at risk, but countless people came together, rescuing them and ensuring their safety. This is India. This is the spirit of India. In the darkest calamities, we stand united, leaving no one behind not humans, not animals. Food is reaching them, and we are sending meals for 500 dogs affected by the floods. We have also adopted a shelter home that was in the flood plain area, so no animal is left uncared for. A heartfelt thank you to Noida authorities, NDRF, and every team & stakeholder. And above all, gratitude to the selfless volunteers who risk their health and lives, stepping into muddy waters, lifting animals on their laps, and carrying them to safety. Today, according to the Eastern calendar, #Alawites mark Eid al-Barbara and light the fire of al-Qozleh, despite massacres, persecution, and ongoing fear. This does not mean normalization with the current reality, nor does it mean Alawites are safe. It is not celebration over pain. Historically, Alawites did not practice rituals publicly. Silence was a survival instinct. But years of oppression, forced erasure, and attempts to reshape Alawite identity have pushed the community to do the opposite: to exist visibly. Lighting this fire is not defiance for show. It is a quiet statement of identity. It says: we are still here. Not because life is easy, but because disappearance is no longer an option.
