Even in the most difficult times, tradition is what holds us together. Since March 2, WCK has served more than one million meals to families displaced by conflict in Lebanon. This Easter, our teams took a moment to mark the occasion alongside them. We prepared maamoul—cookies filled with dates—to...

🚨 Families in Beirut are evacuating—and WCK is there. Chef Corps member Aline captured this scene firsthand: mountain roads filled with people fleeing a suburb of Lebanon's capital, with many expected to sleep in their cars tonight. Our team is reaching people in shelters and on the move with warm meals. #ChefsForMidEast

WCK founder Chef José Andrés 🕊️🥘🍳 joins our team on the ground in Gaza, in Deir al-Balah. José visited to advocate for a dramatic increase in humanitarian aid, including the ability for WCK to serve 1 million meals daily in Gaza. Since October 2023, we’ve served more than 145 million meals—but far more is needed to reach hungry families. #ChefsForGaza “José's visit to Gaza today filled our hearts with hope and renewed our spirits. It was an unexpected surprise that brought joy and energy to every one of us," said Shadi. We are truly touched by his presence and his care. Thank you for being by our side in these challenging days.”

In 2024, WCK supported families affected by conflict, natural disasters, and the worsening impacts of the climate crisis in 20 countries, providing over 109 million meals. Everywhere we respond, we see the best of humanity show up as neighbors join us in bringing hope to families in need—one plate of food at a time. #ChefsForTheWorld

After many weeks, World Central Kitchen teams are once again serving warm meals and fresh bread in Gaza. Our mobile bakery is baking again and you can see what it means to people...to eat, to feel seen. But these meals are not yet enough. We need sustained aid access. Many families are still hungry. WCK is built to reach them, to meet the need….and we've shown that since the beginning of the war in Gaza. With both our large field kitchens and our community kitchens, we can feed many, many families, if we can safely get ingredients to our teams.

📢 Major update from Bidur, Nepal with WCK's Chris. The road heading North has reopened—and our teams are moving. After days of restricted access, WCK is working as fast as possible to get supplies to towns that have been cut off since the floods struck. Alongside our partners—the Nepal Chefs Association—we're setting up community kitchens in impacted communities to prepare meals as close as possible to the families who need them most. #ChefsForNepal

A Lebanese family in Beirut has launched a mobile aid initiative to support people displaced by the ongoing war. The project, known as “Camion Love” delivers essentials directly to families in need, as more than one million people have been displaced across Lebanon.

In the community of Huliaipole, Ukraine, Russian encroachment has forced families out of their homes and into long journeys to escape shelling. That’s why WCK teams are there, standing by local residents as we supply them with food kits to help them find a moment of comfort on their way to safety. #ChefsForUkraine

This is what road access looks like in Nepal after the floods. Over the weekend, with support from Nepal Scouts, a truckload of WCK kitchen supplies arrived at a school in Rasuwa, Nepal—and getting it there took five hours to travel just 7 miles. That's what access looks like in the hardest-hit areas after this week's devastating floods. WCK is setting up a kitchen at the school to prepare meals as close as possible to the families who need them most. And we won't stop; as soon as the truck returned to Kathmandu, it was loaded with equipment for another kitchen. #ChefsForNepal

The Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act takes bold action to protect children and teens in the digital world. We owe it to families across the country to empower parents and strengthen privacy protections. As Chairman Rep. Brett Guthrie said, "This isn't a moment for politics. It's a moment to govern, and children across our nation deserve it."

Today, families all over the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr. We are honored to have been part of that in Gaza. Through the holy month of Ramadan, World Central Kitchen made sure families could gather together to end a long day of fasting. Our teams on the ground delivered Ramadan boxes with enough halal staples to prepare 70 meals. We delivered tens of thousands of them, which meant millions of meals. Our work in Gaza is far from over. This is a season of renewal and rebirth across the world, across cultures and religions. Nowhere is that needed more than the Middle East right now. You can still help get more boxes to the people who need them most. Learn more at #ChefsForGaza

Chef Oli is checking in from Caracas, base of WCK operations in Venezuela. As part of the second wave of WCK staff to reach the affected area, he's building on years of relationships that make rapid response possible. The partnerships, local connections, and volunteer networks established in 2019, 2022, and 2024 allowed us to begin serving meals immediately after the earthquakes. In times of disaster, hunger doesn't wait—and neither do our staff, partners, or volunteers. Together, we're getting fresh meals to the communities that need them most. #ChefsForVenezuela
