I live with black bears walking through my yard daily. The bears are less scary. The only thing they bother is the garbage can.

These are clueless urban people who have never been within 5 km of a bear. Anyone who's lived in an even slightly rural area that has seen or actually had to deal with bears up close wouldn't choose the bear. This is less about men and more about the stupidity of people totally insulated from nature.

I suspect the problem these people have is that they don't understand the dangers of contact with bears. This is due to a lack of education.
