Sad to see the misleading narrative coming from CBS & other major media outlets all because the P4 commissioners are politicking and getting nervous about their own access and $$$ Sure, average SOS across the league is better, but we should be talking specifically about resume comparisons between conference champions. And if you do that, Iowa State & Arizona State do not have resumes that stand out relative to Boise State. Boise lost by 3 to the #1 team. They lost to teams with losing records. The SOS difference between the three is negligible. Not to mention Boise beat UNLV 2x, & the Rebels were 2-0 against the B12 this season (go ahead, mention that one win was against 5-7 Kansas, who just knocked out multiple B12 contenders from a bye) Iowa State’s best win is Kansas State Arizona State’s is T25 BYU Boise’s is T25 UNLV twice Their losses are significantly worse than Boise’s loss @ #1 Oregon. Beat who you’re supposed to beat and it wouldn’t be up for debate. Only one of these 3 did that this season.
