Both councils today in Caly an Edm are garbage compared to historic models. Melting pot took its tole then some🍻. Stand for something or fall for anything.

City council is made up of educated, poorly trained and inexperienced leaders. Many have academic backgrounds and follow the green, genderless, woke agendas pushed by universities.

As a long time resident of downtown, it is horrid. These councillors and mayor (who was on council for years prior) should be ashamed of themselves. The taxes I pay are going to waste, nothing to improve deadmonton. #firethemall

We have former mayors that called out Andrew Knack and his council are an incompetent group. Bill Smith, Stephan Mandel speak the the truth. Even Don Iverson was dumb founded, didn’t say anything but he knows this council has to be the worst mayor, council ever in history.

No mention that the Provincial Gov’t has cut 30% of the city’s budget. Funny that..

Oh common everyone they all did crappy jobs when they were in charge, they did nothing for downtown. Jan R pushed all the oil business to Calgary and Mandel was in it for himself. Lived here all my life and moved to the country because of them.

Don’t forget, the city collects taxes on behalf of both the city and the province. The province is part of the problem when it comes to treating taxpayers like bottomless piggy banks.

Many operational and financial woes arose or persisted during former councils. Not to say this current council is doing great but they can’t be blamed for long-running larger systemic issues.

Thu Parmar, it is not too early. If anything it is too late. City Council is destroying Edmonton, and in particular the downtown core. What should be the heart of the city is on life support. Your vision is going in the wrong direction.

OK, will give her that! Downtown has rotted before our eyes. In contrast, YYC's downtown still feels alive and *mostly* safe. I spend time there every visit, but mostly avoid YEG DT except for concerts and games. The upside is that parking is more plentiful in YEG. 😁
