"Arguing with her is falling into her frame." –Rivelino EXAMPLE In this scene from Titanic, Rose knows that Cal is trying to impress her, so she purposely provokes him by doubting the size of the ship Rose is looking to see if she can get a reaction out of him. And she does. He reacts defensively and argues logically A double mistake When a woman tries to start an argument with you, she's testing to see if you're stupid enough to take her seriously If you do take her seriously and argue with her, you fall into her frame and essentially fall into her trap. Whereas if you treat her like an adorable petulant child, you pass the test and sidestep the trap In this scene, Cal reacts the wrong way to Rose's shit test. He falls into her frame by arguing with her and he tries to change her mind using facts ROSE: I don't see what the fuss is about. It doesn't look any bigger than Mauretania CAL: [facts logic boring boring] When a man tries to convince a woman by using facts and logic, she instinctively realizes that he doesn't understand women, how they feel, how they function This is a massive turn off She doesn't want to be with a man who doesn't understand her true feminine essence So what should a man say instead of arguing with her? My two favorite standard replies to any sort of petulant shit test from a girl are "You're precious" and "You're adorable" Remember, she is like a child She wants to feel your mastery over her –– and she wants to see that you have mastery over your own emotions If Cal knew how to handle Rose, he would avoid arguing with her. Instead, he would say something like this: ROSE: I don't see what the fuss is about. It doesn't look bigger than Mauretania CAL: Oh Rose, you're so adorable Much better If your girl says something to make you angry and you feel yourself losing your temper, instead of calling her stupid call her adorable "You're so fucking adorable" You can even keep the same angry tone Over time, you will start reframing and training your brain to see her as an adorable (petulant) child Remember, when you think in your mind "she is annoying", that means she has gotten to you, she has rattled you, and that's bad When you think in your mind "she is adorable", that means you see her like a child And why is she adorable? Well, she's your girl, right? If she isn't adorable –– if she really is stupid, annoying, complaining all the time, disrespecting you all the time, then maybe you need to let her go and find yourself another girl. It sounds like her heart is closed off to you But if she is your girl and you do love her, then she's adorable, and her "annoying" shit tests just mean that she misses you and needs your reassurance that you can handle her moods and her occasional feminine chaos She wants to feel your masculine strength, she wants to feel your amused mastery, your power and control over her emotions She wants to feel safe in your arms She wants to trust you

Read Caption 💗🥺 ❄️ People always ask me why I skate. I skate because out of every sport I have ever tried, this is the only one that taught me something real. No matter how many times you fall, you have no choice but to get up again. Figure skating found me during a time when I was discovering myself, healing myself, and rebuilding the parts of me I thought were gone. It became something that no one could ever take away from me. I am passionate about this sport because of what it does to my soul. The moment my blades touch the ice, something in me settles. I feel whole. I feel protected. I feel like I have entered a world where nothing can break me. No one can walk into that space and dim my light or tell me I am not enough. On the ice, I define myself. Figure skating is a place where applause comes from every direction, even from within. You clap for your effort, your courage, your growth and even bad days. You get to watch yourself evolve in ways you never imagined. It is mesmerizing to witness how far we can go when we keep moving, when we trust the process, and when we simply skate. When I skate, I am reminded that my journey is mine alone. Every glide is a voice saying I survived. Every spin is a reminder that my spirit still dances. Every fall becomes a lesson in strength, and every landing becomes a quiet celebration. Skating taught me how to breathe again, how to trust again, how to see myself again and how to love the person I am becoming. And that is why I keep going back to the ice, again and again. ❄️ ✨ #figureskating #health #healing #iceskating

3 in 4 suicides in the UK are by men. Men are far less likely to ask for help , but more likely to suffer in silence. Bereaved fathers face significantly higher risks of PTSD, depression, and isolation. But we rarely talk about it. So I am. Grief doesn’t always look how you expect. It’s not just tears or funerals. Sometimes it’s silence. Sitting in the car for 20 minutes, unable to turn the key. Smiling through meetings when your heart feels like it’s collapsed. Waking in the night, dreaming they’re still here. But grief also lives in the everyday moments you don’t see - Seeing someone with a bald head in the supermarket and instantly reliving chemotherapy wards. Wanting to hug a stranger going through treatment and say, “I respect you. I feel for you.” Turning off adverts about cancer. Lowering the volume when the “C word” is mentioned on the radio. Avoiding social events because you just don’t have the energy to explain. As a dad, you’re taught to be strong. To hold it all together. But what if holding it together means never truly healing? Grief doesn’t make you weak. It makes you real. And sharing it might be the strongest thing you ever do. To anyone struggling whether you’ve lost someone or are supporting someone who has: You’re not alone. Please talk. Please reach out. You’re not supposed to carry this by yourself. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MensMentalHealth #Grief #ChildLoss #ItsNeverYou #LinkedInVoices #LeadershipThroughAdversity #HughsLaw #MentalHealthMatters #SupportDads

T/W: suicide, eating disorders I’m self-conscious about how I look. I get criticism on every move I make both publicly and privately. Every time I take an action I hear the potential criticism in my head… but I do it anyway. The criticism does always come. I get criticism on my body too. I can love myself at any size, but the never ending pressure to please everyone and to try to be so strong people can’t criticize me is tiring. Sometimes I wonder if my problems are really my own. When I’m alone, I only have love for myself without an ounce of shame or self-hatred. I like myself and who I see in the mirror. But hate and criticism can eat away at you. “Are they right?” “Should I really be eating that?” “People will judge me.” I’ve never recognized a negative voice in my mind as mine. I can’t think of one person who would say I’m the negative voice in their head either. But the negative voice in my head has left me suicidal before. I don’t hate myself. But sometimes people treat me like they hate me. It’s hard not to internalize it. Today, I want to remind you- you don’t have to hate yourself even when the world treats you like they hate you. It’s safe to make mistakes. It’s safe to love yourself and your body even when others laugh at you. Every time I get a message about how someone loves their body a little more after reading my messages, it reminds me why I keep opening my heart. It’s hope. We all need hope. I hope you choose to appreciate your body today ✨ it and you are beautiful

Wooyoung’s message to Hongjoong: 🐈‍⬛ The way you’re always growing and becoming cooler and cooler - I feel so, so proud that you’re part of our team. You really make me think, “Ah, he is the biggest treasure of our team.” 🐿️ I’m confused now~ 🐈‍⬛ We’ve been preparing a lot together for this concert, and first of all, I just want to say you worked really hard. And in “Wake Up” (최면), if you look at your rap… 🐿️ Ah~ I think I know who this is… I can totally tell. 🐈‍⬛ There’s this killer rap part in there, and I think ATINY are really going to love it. 🐿️ The way he’s talking… feels kinda familiar! 🐈‍⬛ I think this concert will really show off your dancing too, so please prepare well and don’t get hurt. 🐿️ Huh..? What’s going on… 🐈‍⬛ I hope you can show ATINY a great side of you. 🐿️ Ah, this is confusing. 🐈‍⬛ Ah… 🐿️ Ah? 🐈‍⬛ I’m sure it’s mentally draining with so much to learn, but take care of your mental state, okay? 🐿️ That’s definitely it - especially that last part. Even with the voice disguised, I can hear it. Ah, Jung Wooyoung, this is definitely… 🐈‍⬛ Don’t get sick! Don’t go around all day holding your stomach going “Arghhh”- do well, okay? ♡ 🐿️ Now I get why he kept going “Arghhh.” Yeah, this is totally Jung Wooyoung. Q: At which point did you realize who it was? 🐿️ It was when “Wake Up” got mentioned- because Wooyoung had said he wanted to hear a fast rap, and that’s why I wrote that rap for “Wake Up”. Also, there was this one day I was really sick while we were preparing for the concert, and Wooyoung stayed by my side and really looked after me. Hongjoong’s message to Wooyoung: 🐿️ Wooyoung-ah, even though you don’t show it, you always take care of me in your own way. And when I get all stiff or too serious, you joke around with me and loosen me up - thank you for that. Please keep looking after me in the future too. Fighting~! video cr. cozy_az

Bitcoin is going to RALLY so VIOLENTLY that Greg from three doors down walks over holding the leaf blower he financed at 26.99 percent APR to ask you, with genuine curiosity, what a satoshi is. So violently that the HOA letter about your mailbox color arrives and you frame it. So violently that the guy who called it tulips in 2017 opens every sentence at the block party with "well, I always said the technology itself was interesting." So violently that your Target Date 2055 fund, which parked 41 percent of your one life in bonds because an actuary in Malvern decided you were fragile, finally gets to rest. So violently that Applebee's 2 for $25 becomes a story you tell your grandchildren and they assume you are describing a prison. So violently that men in their forties feel something real in the Menards rebate aisle and have to sit in the truck for a minute with the engine off. So violently that someone laughs out loud in the Q3 all hands when they say "we're like a family here," and instead of getting fired he becomes the CEO. So violently that the $7,400 deductible your employer calls a High Deductible Health Plan With A Savings Component gets cleared in the time it takes to microwave a Hot Pocket. So violently that your brother in law, who has explained blockchain to you at four consecutive Thanksgivings while holding a Coors Light and getting it wrong in a new way each time, texts you at 2:14 a.m. asking how Coinbase works. So violently that the entire Stanley tumbler economy vaporizes in a single afternoon and the resale market moves to eBay, where it belongs. So violently that the boomer who bought his house in 1987 for $61,000 and calls you entitled becomes extremely interested in what exactly it is you do for work. So violently that "just 11 more years and I retire at 67" dissolves into the air alongside the Wells Fargo $12 monthly maintenance fee, which they waive if you maintain a $1,500 average daily balance, a sentence 1 human wrote and 7 humans approved. So violently that the 78 month auto loan joins leeches and the draft in the museum of things we agreed to when we were confused. So violently that Chase mails you a pre-approved Sapphire offer and you use it as a coaster in a house you own outright. The middle class was always a payment plan with a lifestyle stapled to the front. You read the prepayment clause. It was blank. Stay humble. Stack sats.

‼️🎙️ Great interview from Carlos Alcaraz today at the Princesa de Girona CongresFest in Murcia, where he spoke a lot about consistency, discipline, and the daily work that goes into the trophies: ❔ “Today we’ve been hearing people talk about research, innovation, exploration… You revolutionized tennis at a very young age. What do you think is behind that ability to keep improving constantly?” 🗣️ Carlos: “Well, I think it’s the desire to learn. When you realize there’s still so much for you to improve, so much for you to learn, in my case, in the world of tennis… in the end you’re competing against players who also want to improve in order to beat you, who want to put themselves in the best possible position. And that’s what motivates you, or at least what motivates me, to keep improving, to keep up with the level of tennis and also keep up with the rate at which my rivals are improving.” ❔ “In elite sport, just like in science and entrepreneurship, a very important part is knowing how to push beyond your own limits. So my question is: what values have been most important in helping you develop that throughout your journey?” 🗣️ “I think consistency. Day-to-day consistency, trying to give your best every single day. “In the end, people probably see the matches, the tournaments, the victories and defeats, but you also have to place a lot of value on what happens behind the scenes: the work you put in every day. “I think that’s the most important thing: going every day, in my case, to the tennis court or the gym with tremendous excitement about trying to give the best of myself, trying to improve so that later it shows on the court. “That consistency of taking things day by day, of trying to control everything necessary to be in the best possible condition when it’s time to compete - that’s what motivates me. And it’s what I value most now in the position I’m in. I’m grateful to the version of myself from six or seven years ago for having done everything possible every single day.” ❔ “People see the trophies and the victories, but they don’t see the work behind them because it’s invisible. What advice would you give to young people, and to all of us, about discipline and consistency, so we can understand how someone like you keeps going?” 🗣️ “Above all, patience. “When I was 14 years old, I had zero patience. I wanted things overnight. I wanted results immediately. Personally, I hate losing at anything, even back there. So I always wanted to win, I wanted everything to work out perfectly, I wanted things to go exactly right. But I think what I’d tell young people is to have patience. “The beautiful thing is the process. It’s the journey. It’s going to a competition or doing something that truly fills you with pride and then seeing that it doesn’t work out. “You fail but what matters is how you get back up, how you come back the next day and try again. “That’s the beautiful part, and that’s the advice I’d give to young people: be patient, enjoy the journey, enjoy what you’re doing, because one day you’ll look back, value it, and feel proud of it.”

❤️DO YOU REALLY KNOW KIM SEOKJIN? If you know more about him, read this❤️ Op introducing a comment found on Kian’s B& B YouTube It’s 2019 KBS Song Festival BTS Stages she ‘s talking about, and here’s the video clip of the jacket moment, watch SeokJin at the end of the clip! 🗣️ I am writing this comment because I want to record something I remember about SeokJin ☺️ In the winter of the year the pandemic hit, the last year-end before the pandemic, I was lucky enough to win a spot for the pre-recording of a year-end stage, and I spent almost 5 to 6 hours with BTS. What was even luckier was that my assigned spot was in top 10%, so I was quite close to the stage. That year, the time given to BTS for the year-end stage was over 30 minutes, it was like a mini concert. They did pre-recordings for several songs while changing the stage sets and also did rehearsal for the next day’s live broadcast, so I was able to watch them closely for a long time. And the one who left the strongest impression on me, even more than my bias, was SeokJin. When the PD-nim had messages or directions to convey to the members about the stage, or when he had something to discuss, he mostly communicated with SeokJin. And SeokJin took on the role of relaying all the messages to the other members. While managing the stage, if there were small details like, for example, if a jacket taken off during the performance was left there when it might get caught on camera and look messy, so make sure to throw it over to the back of the set, things like that. Jin relayed all those messages and directions to the members, and if there were members who couldn’t follow that direction, he quietly took care of small details behind the scenes, like quickly tossing away the jacket that was left behind when the camera was on other members. He was handling those little details behind the scene quietly alone with care, that was my impression. Even though he's the eldest, he's not the leader, not the main vocalist, nor the choreography leader, so when BTS is all together, I personally feel that the spotlight rarely shines on him. Also, since he's not the type of hyung who bosses around other members, saying, "I'm your senior," it’s probably not easy for SeokJin to leave a strong impression (*to casual viewers/general public) But the deeper you look into BTS, the more you see that SeokJin is a true gem, quietly working behind the scenes and taking good care of his younger members with a genuinely beautiful heart. While watching SeokJin for hours in moments that weren’t captured on camera, what I felt was that he’s truly sincere, attentive and meticulous, leading by examples with a strong sense of responsibility. And while taking care of everything like that, he’s not interested in taking credit for the things he did, he just quietly accomplished everything without drawing attention, his presence was like salt and light, I felt. I think this is why there are so many heartwarming stories about SeokJin in the entertainment industry. Seeing his good characters that I saw get recognized in detail through this variety show, and feeling like many people will come to appreciate his integrity, somehow it makes me feel really happy. #Jin #방탄소년단진 #진 방탄소년단

The moisture question always comes up when I post pics of my indoor pools on my new builds. Step by step below on how I control it. We create a room where moisture can’t escape into other areas of the home while also having a mechanical system in place to pull the moisture out of the air so mildew/mold don’t ever develop in the pool room itself. In the STR space, investors are trying to stand out. Pools rent. Indoor pools rent even better. You can swim in the winter or summer. 1) Pool is always built on lowest floor inside (generally basement structure) 2) Concrete block wall for basement with very little wood frame 3) Densglass (kind of like a moisture resistant drywall) attached to concrete block 4) Special stucco just like you see on exterior of homes sprayed onto Densglass. The stucco is dyed to color of my choice. 5) Industrial grade dehumidifier (I use Santa Fe or Watchdog Brand). The humidity pulled from air is pumped back into the pool system near the mechanical room or outside. 6) Mini split for the pool room. Main floor HVAC covers the sleeping rooms, bathroom of basement and is always separated from pool room. You don’t want chlorinated air running through a main HVAC system. I look at having to replace the minisplit & dehumidifier about every 4 to 5 yrs because of the chlorinated air that goes through them. 7) Exhaust Fan leading to exterior which also pulls humid air out of the room as a supplemental support for the dehumidifier. When overhead lights are turned on, we have it so the exhaust fan kicks on as well. That’s it. We create a “bubble”, where no moisture gets into the other areas of home and the humid air gets pulled from the pool room.
