He is a great fighter. I wish they would develop us Haki more. Something more along the lines of Garp or Shanks. They also don't use his Observation Haki enough in tough fights but I guess that would just make him OP.

To be fair a lot of early cannon fodder and “bosses” were bums . Training from garp and a fruit that naturally boosts his abilities before gear 2 does help a lot
