Well captain meticulous I feel your pain. The “service” industry is dead . It is the litmus test of American intelligence. When I was 19 I bought a brand new 1989 Chrysler Lebaron It was wine red. I was in love with it. I took it off the lot and within two hours of driving around with my friends, the engine seized. Gave it back to dealer, they had it for 2 months, got it back, had it for one week, engine seized again. Towed by the dealer late on a Friday night. My dad woke me early that Saturday morning, drove me to the dealership and said, go get all your shit out of the car (my cassette tapes etc). I was so upset, he wasn’t gonna let me take that car back after they fixed it. The dealership yelled “you gotta go through the lemon law honey” mocking me and my dad. Dad then went to the hardware signs, I heard him painting and nailing shit together and then he told me “get your friends” we are picketing the dealership. “Oh nooo dad, I can’t, you’re embarrassing me”. Well, we picketed for 5 days, that’s all it took. The dealership didn’t like having about 5 people marching up and down the front of their lot with signs explaining that Chryslers are Lemons etc. They called the police on me, only to learn I was within my rights. Threatened to hose us down. The works. Tormented us as we picketed. By day 5 the owner was back in town (supposedly he was on vacation the 4 days before). He offered to buy the entire car from me, including my down payment in one check and a check to pay off the entire lien. I accepted. I didn’t lose money using the lemon law and I had an 800 credit score at the age of 19. Some ideas may sound crazy at first, but if it’s legal, it’s worth a shot. I would picket the shit out of the Mazda dealership.

the pandemic ruined everything, mainly the car business. Honda for example was the middle class Mercedes; reliable, worth the $... not anymore. buy pre-2020 cars. now the ethanol is 10%, destroying older engines. cars all over the hiways broke down.

If you’re meticulous, you wouldn’t have bought a Mazda. Get a Tesla, and you’ll never have to worry about oil changes or transmission problems or mufflers or exhaust manifolds or radiators or spark plugs or a million other things that gas cars need.

The only way to fix this problem is to stop buying the garbage that these corporations are mass producing. Buy an older vehicle without those bells and whistles because they are meant for the lazy. An older vehicle will cost less but you will have to spend money on repairs, but it's still way cheaper than buying a new vehicle and making high interest car payments for 6 plus years on vehicles that are built the cheapest possible way and then sold to you as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Newer vehicles break down way more often than the older ones. Stop buying into their games.

It's everywhere. Amazon, UPS, Grocery stores, godforbid you have to call a customer service line.

If the money is such a huge issue, why are you wasting it on new vehicles? Yes, they come with a warranty, but your story is a prime example of why that is worthless. Buy a used vehicle, and find an independent shop close to you that has a good reputation. Less $$ and trouble.
