ARK needs a transfer agent to maintain the books and records for who owns what onchain, Securitize is that. The underlying fund will remain ARKK but Securitize will facilitate the launch of a new share class, and will issue tokenized shares of their $ARKK fund onchain via a transfer agent with Securitize. The innovation exemption allows ARK to not have to approach the SEC and it will automatically be deemed compliant, from what we're hearing. This will allow funds to rapidly tokenize vs. having to wait for SEC approval in future.
