Ever had people that acts like the world owes them?

I ALWAYS put manners first when meeting any sort of person. Including when I’m going out to get food or practically anywhere! Even a simple thank you can make someone’s day like seriously

A little kindness goes a long way for sure

I work in customer servious at my local hardware store... and its true, but to an extent. I have met some very nice people who do more than just be curtious. They chat, laugh, tell stories. And in the end, I say its not going out just yet, there are still good ones out there.

We have that in the southern United States. Y’know the joke as old as time is “The Racist South” well… that’s not entirely true. It’s called “Southern Hospitality” because you can have that quick, hi how are you I’m fine you?, conversation, and feel good about it.

I just live by the old, "Treat others how you would wanna be treated." Respect is most occasions also earned not given by default. Pretty much, treat others with general kindness and respect. People who usually practice these things tend to attract good people and friends.

I know people hate on “small talk” but like its such a lost art to just be courteous to who youre talking to, especially if youre acting on neutral terms. Its a win win for both parties

I seriously agree. It is genuinely not that hard to be nice and kind and have any manners. I'm so glad I'm like that, and not like some people who just feel so entitled to EVERYTHING. Working in a grocery store really opens your eyes to how people have been parented or even care.

I'm starting to lose my courtesy anymore as well. A lot of people treat me like trash even though I'm always nice to them. Long story short, I'm turning into a Karen, but I just screw over the people who deserve it. It's kinda fun :p

There's directness, and then there's rudeness. Directness can still include common courtesy, if someone is conscientious enough.
