After the drug policy mess. After the affordability crisis. After the soft-on-crime chaos. After years of watching BC get worse in real time. And somehow 41% of voters are still looking at David Eby’s NDP and saying: “Yeah. More of that please.” BC Conservatives lead. But the real story is that the NDP still has 41%. Seaspan in Vancouver had a proposal to build the BC Ferries - 2 YEARS AGO, and the government ignored it: "Seaspan had a proposal to phase in construction of the new BC Ferries. Ships would have generated a billion dollars to the economy and 10,000 jobs. It gave the plan to the government 2 years ago, and nobody did anything about it." David Eby lied, Mark Carney lied, and Chrystia Freeland was moved out of the portfolio to avoid accountability. On purpose or massive incompetence?

Under a year later, and the fundamental freedom of private property is being attacked across the province. Just because you don’t live in Richmond doesn’t mean this won’t affect you. The NDP are permitting dangerous precedents that undermine the property rights of every British Columbian.

San Francisco just recorded our lowest tent numbers since the City began the quarterly count in April 2019, a new record low. I am clear eyed about the challenges on our streets, but we have made real progress this year. We have sustained lows of tent encampments, and we will continue to coordinate across departments to get people off the street and into the help that they need.
