It was the first project we did at college when studying photography. I made mine out of a smash tin so I got weird bendy images like a fisheye lens 🤷♂️✌️

Did you just teach me the fundamentals of how cameras basically work?

The matchbox and the other stuff cost more than a disposable camera that takes much better photos.

Lot of work when you can just get a disposable

I’m not THAT poor!

Yes did this all the time in college did some awesome photography with it, just has a better look to it over any filter or digital editing. Its also fun to see what you get always a suprise.

Look for Apple to release a phone with a thousand pinhole lenses if this catches on.

Not to take pictures. But I have used it to safely watch a solar eclipse. It works great!

That's a neat idea

Pinhole con cámara digital sin objetivo y giro de muñeca 📸

That looks cool!

Thx 🤗

Found it ! @grok drop your funniest roast of this tweet 🔥

Bruh pinhole cameras is $2 at any drug store. Why we duct tapin a roll of film to a cardboard box like we MacGyver in 1987.

Hey I like that, I did photography and was never taught that. Thank you for the video.

very welcome

La technologie argentique ne mourra jamais. J’ai des tirages NB de cinquante ans qui sont nickels… Un jour, sur la liste, je ferai des plaques de verre avec nitrate d’argent, parce que c’est impossible à remplacer.

@CRRJA5 Yes, we did something similar but with a box and pinhole/tape on top. All painted black. It was in the early 70s for Graphic Arts class. We actually set metal type from a California job case.

I hate people on this comments being like "why would you do that" "is easier with a disposable" it's not about being easier, it's about love, about making something with your hands and learning, and then looking at it working, the context it's a lot more fun!

Fine for an elementary school science project, but nothing really profoundly educational otherwise and not even remotely practical as a real camera.

so… how are you advancing that film? I don’t see anything on the canister end, and film is too flimsy to keep pushing itself out of it’s spool into the canister…

why its needed to do like that ?

@V0ltman дивись, чим не камера обскура? Тільки прокачана

You can literally just use a camera.

@kaz_miyata115 スパイが使いそう…

@TomyGarcia0511 Atención

used to do this as a kid with a crackerjack box.

Nice, did something similar when they put the top of the CN TOWER using a pop can.

Nowadays you can just use a filter to make your pictures look shitty, if that's you goal.

My camera is cheaper than a roll of film

How cool!

we call it Camera Obscura

@jujuridica_

And here we are like idiots using lenses.

this is absurd i love it XD
