🚀 The team at Google just released the Agents API, a service for building and running custom agents inside a sandboxed Linux environment, and we built a template that gives these agents access to LlamaParse / LiteParse, enabling them to process unstructured documents automatically 📄⚡ Here’s how it works: 🔹 Configure a Git repository where data and outputs will be stored 🔹 Clone the repository into the agent sandbox 🔹 Install the LiteParse CLI, the LlamaParse SDK, and agent skills to use both 🔹 Prompt the agent with a task and watch it process documents autonomously 🤖 The result? An agent that can work directly with messy, real-world documents using LlamaParse and LiteParse within Google’s new agent runtime. Check out the GitHub repository: Get started with LlamaParse:

We built a neat tool that lets you convert a directory of Powerpoint files into clean, structured markdown - that Claude Code / agent SDK / any generalized agent wrapper can easily understand. The pptx skill in Claude Code is quite basic and doesn’t have high-fidelity understanding over graphics/charts/tables. Our project Surreal Slides uses LlamaParse to convert presentations into clean structured data that you can put into a db (SurrealDB) for simple retrieval, without having to take screenshots of the data on the fly. Thanks to Clelia Bertelli (🦙/acc) for this project, check it out:

🚀 The Google DeepMind team just added Gemini 3.1 to the Live API, so we built a small demo showing how Gemini voice agents can plug directly into the document processing ecosystem powered by LlamaIndex. 🔥 In this example, we integrate LiteParse to enable fast, fully-local document parsing. With our TUI-based voice assistant, you can literally talk to your terminal: - Speak commands - Trigger live document parsing via tool calls - Hear the agent read back results in real time 🔊 The assistant can extract content from single files or entire folders, leveraging the lightning-fast local parsing that LiteParse provides ⚡ Take a look at the demo👇 👩‍💻 GitHub repo 📚 LiteParse docs

LiteParse Samples 📄🧑‍🏫 LiteParse is our free and fast document parser that can parse text with bounding boxes from any document. I’ve created a new repository that contains some demos on how you can make use of its outputs! ✅ Comparison against PyPDF and PyMuPDF ✅ Visual Citations: search for any keyword and see joined bounding boxes pop up in the source images It should be a default tool to help AI agents OCR any document type (supports PDF, Word, Powerpoint + dozens of other formats), before heavier-weight VLM-based document parsing solutions (like our own LlamaParse). I built a Claude Code skill that allows it to generate a deep research report over any collection of complex docs (PDFs, Word, Pptx)….and generate word-level citations and bounding boxes directly back to the source! 📝 Check out “/research-docs”. 1. It parses out text and bounding boxes from every doc with liteparse, in seconds. 2. It then generates a full HTML report of the outputs that let you see word-level citations in each page. Raw Claude obviously has deep research capabilities, but it lacks an audit trail back to the source. This skill gives you a researched report that can be audited by others. Check it out: LiteParse:

We just open-sourced Simulang, a JavaScript library that gives you and your coding agents the ability to fully control computers. Simulang is our scripting framework for desktop automation. It allows you to write deterministic computer use code that can be replayed dozens if not hundreds of times. Much faster and cheaper, compared to LLM agents. It ships with a skill out of the box. That means you can turn natural language prompts into Simulang code directly, and your agent can now see the screen, click, type, and navigate. It gives your AI agents eyes and hands to control the computer like humans do. Try these things with Simulang: - upload your pile of invoices to the expense platform - find 50 people with specific criteria on LinkedIn - open your calculator app and do some math - find all buttons on your favorite app using accessibility tree - or draw a bunny with MS paint 🐰 In this demo, we show how Simulang took over when the coding agent couldn’t open and click on the target LinkedIn profile page. Give it a try:

Fable 5 and Karpathy's knowledge base trick are basically a cheat code. Someone just dropped a full walkthrough on building the most powerful second brain ever Andrej Karpathy shared a simple idea: use an LLM to build personal knowledge bases. Index your sources, let the model organize them, and use Obsidian as the front end. Someone just built the full thing with Claude Code and Fable 5, and walked through every step You drop your sources into a folder (YouTube transcripts, PDFs, articles, meeting notes) and Claude Code reads them, splits them into linked wiki pages, and builds a living second brain that connects everything. It grows on its own as you add more. Where Fable 5 pulls ahead: it found a connection buried across two sources you'd miss reading them separately. And asked to turn the messy web of links into something a beginner could understand, it produced clean, simple HTML in one shot. The same task took a full day on Opus 4.8 and came out worse. The best part: it's all just markdown files with routing. So it's not locked to Claude Code. Plug it into Codex or any agent you want. Give your AI a real knowledge base, and it stops guessing and starts knowing. Bookmark this.

Say hello to open source deep research for your favorite agent harness. Our AI-Q agent skill packages the work of building a research pipeline into a portable skill. Drop it into your harness, and the agent delegates a research task to a local or hosted AI-Q server and gets back a detailed report with citations. See it in Codex below 👇

Wow! Someone open sourced 100+ full AI apps you can just clone and ship.. and it's sitting at 124,000 stars on github it's one repo, awesome-llm-apps. and the important part.. these aren't tutorials teaching you to build an app. they're the finished apps themselves. RAG systems, AI agents, multi-agent teams.. tested end to end, apache licensed, yours to copy. a few that are actually in there: - a fraud investigation agent that cross-references public records to flag things that don't add up - a VC due-diligence agent team that writes startup investment analysis - a financial coach that builds you a budget, debt and savings plan - "chat with anything".. your github, gmail, PDFs, arxiv papers, youtube videos - a deep research agent that runs full web research on its own here's how to actually use it, not just star it: clone the repo, open the one app closest to what you need it's a working template.. swap in your data, your API key, your use case ship it as your own thing, or bolt three of them together into one bigger product the license literally lets you take these, customize them, and sell them. that's not a loophole, that's the point of apache-2.0. repo:

PDF parsing is still painful because LLMs reorder text in complex layouts, break tables across pages, and fail on graphs or images. 💡Testing the new open-source OCRFlux model, and here the results are really good for a change. So OCRFlux is a multimodal, LLM based toolkit for converting PDFs and images into clean, readable, plain Markdown text. Because the underlying VLM is only 3B param, it runs even on a 3090 GPU. The model is available on Hugging Face . The engine that powers the OCRFlux, teaches the model to rebuild every page and then stitch fragments across pages into one clean Markdown file. It bundles one vision language model with 3B parameters that was fine-tuned from Qwen 2.5-VL-3B-Instruct for both page parsing and cross-page merging. OCRFlux reads raw page images and, guided by task prompts, outputs Markdown for each page and merges split elements across pages. The evaluation shows Edit Distance Similarity (EDS) 0.967 and cross‑page table Tree Edit Distance 0.950, so the parser is both accurate and layout aware. How it works while parsing each page - Convert into text with a natural reading order, even in the presence of multi-column layouts, figures, and insets - Support for complicated tables and equations - Automatically removes headers and footers Cross-page table/paragraph merging - Cross-page table merging - Cross-page paragraph merging A compact vision‑language models can beat bigger models once cross‑page context is added. 🧵 1/n Read on 👇

Obsidian CEO actually released the skill that lets your AI agent run your entire vault for you. It's called obsidian-skills. Install it into Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode, and your agent can read, create, search, and organize notes directly, plus handle Markdown, Bases, and Canvas files without you touching a thing. This is the missing piece for an AI second brain. Your notes live in Obsidian, and now the agent actually knows how to work them. Want the full picture? We broke down how to build a complete AI second brain from scratch in the article below.

working theory for a new vibe code workflow: 1. create a proof of concept in v0 2. move to github and clone in a local repo 3. use as ref for agent planning 4. create a backend directory to test API plumbing 5. create a frontend directory to prototype iteratively this way you can repeatedly rip apart the frontend for ideation without worrying about breaking changes to the backend. i really like asking for an open ended "job to be done" (i.e. place a bet with a single tap) with 5-10 variations to feel. it's the modern day wireframing. it's still UI slop but i can get ideas in my head out faster and reveal design shortcomings before polishing or worrying about making components functional. and because the v0 prototype gets you to functional ai features and backend integration fastest, you have both a technical and conceptual reference to use in your agentic planning so your v1 is more predictable with minimal effort.

An underrated issue with document parsing for RAG / agent use cases is dealing with multi-page tables - sometimes a big table spills over into multiple pages. This breaks chunking algorithms that generally operate at the page-level or smaller, and causes LLMs to lose the full view of the data. With LlamaParse Continuous Mode (in beta), you can now parse a document with multi-page tables and join them into a single table! This means you can now: 💡 Do contiguous chunking for RAG use cases OR 💡 Parse the table for text-to-SQL Check out our blog post highlighting this feature. Huge shoutout to Pierre-Loic Doulcet and Sacha Bron : Signup here: It's in beta, let us know your feedback!

Google just announced a new browser called Disco 🪩 It turns your tabs into apps. Disco is a fresh way to experience the internet. It starts with an AI assistant that helps you browse. And when you have multiple tabs open, Disco can combine them into an interactive app. It's like vibe-coding a browser experience made just for you. All created in real time. What do you think, is this the future of the internet?
