๐Ÿ”€ Ever wish you had a classroom routine that allowed you to quickly create different student groupings in your #physed lessons? ๐Ÿ‘€ Here's a tech-free idea I've been trying to get "right" for a while (and am as close as I've ever been!)

Love it! I was also worried about the "boredom" or being with the same groups as well, and that's why I personally use @ClassDojo (some use teamshake) to efficiently get new groups, as I project on the board. Either way, many different groups & relationships are being developed!

@ClassDojo 100%. That said, always having different groups can make the relationship building part a challenge. Students need time to develop trust with others, which is why I liked the idea of regular-but-different groupings. Make sense?

This is freaking awesome, Joey. As a teacher who utilizes rainbow teams (squads) this is great system. You could randomly switch studentsโ€™ numbers every month, etc. and who they play/learn changes with them, seamlessly. Bravo!

Thanks Randy! I definitely agree that switching things up would help. Part of the design came from a deep dive into building social capital within our classrooms. The goal of the regular, different groups was to expand social networks and increase trust.

Interesting ideas and I like the applicability as well. I was wondering that kids will always play with the same people depending on the criteriaโ€ฆ it could get boring for them at some point, right?

Thanks Dudley! I see your point. I think that goes for any squad system. The goal isn't to eliminate other forms of student groupings, just to have a system in place that can make it easy to quickly switch things up when needed. Does that make sense?

Great great idea Joey, I wish I could@use this itโ€™s just that I teach all classes across the school and we donโ€™t really have a hall that we can put things up like this so Iโ€™m thinking about making it just digital somehow to@put on the screens.

I currently use your roster template and have for a while. Guess it's time to make some changes to it! ๐Ÿ‘
