I still remember the thrill I felt when I first saw the opening of Tales of Phantasia. It was probably the first time I’d ever seen a Super Famicom game with a vocal opening, and it honestly felt groundbreaking back then. I also loved how the combat played out like an action game, and overall it was just a really fun experience. At the time, I never imagined the Tales series would become such a long-running franchise, but seeing new titles still coming out even now is pretty amazing. I’ve only played up to Tales of Destiny.
