We stand with Italian journalist Gabriele Nunziati as he takes legal action against Agenzia Nova after his contract was terminated following a question he asked the European Commission about Israel paying for the reconstruction of Gaza last October. In Europe, the silencing, censorship and repression of journalists speaking out against Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip are arbitrarily restricting the right to freedom of expression. Meanwhile, the Israeli military has been killing scores of Palestinian journalists in Gaza who were bravely continuing to report despite being themselves victims of Israeli abuses. No conflict in modern history has seen a higher number of journalists killed than Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. Humanity must win.
