RAW footage of the 13 December 2001 attack on India’s Parliament. Context: On 13 December 2001, a devastating terrorist attack took place at the Parliament House in New Delhi. Five Pakistani Terrorist carried out the assault. Six personnel of the Delhi Police, two members of the Parliament Security Service, and a gardener lost their lives. Due to the swift and courageous response of the security forces, all five attackers were neutralized. The attackers-Hamza, Haider, Rana, Raja, and Mohammad-were Pakistani nationals. They were members of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), two Pakistan-based militant organizations. India’s investigation revealed that the attack was planned and supported by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). A JeM leader, Ghazi Baba, was identified as the main coordinator of the operation. Despite these, India toured Pakistan in 2004, and Pakistan toured India in 2005. Then came: Delhi Bombing (2005): 60 dead, 200+ injured after Pakistan's cricket tour. Varanasi Bombing (2006): 28 killed in temple & railway station blasts. Mumbai Train Bombing (2006): 200 killed, 700+ injured in serial blasts. India still played Pakistan in 2007-08, while Pakistan responded with: Jaipur Bombing (2008): 63 killed, 200+ injured. Ahmedabad Bombing (2008): 56 killed, 200+ injured. Delhi Bombing (2008): 30 killed, 100+ injured. Mumbai Terror Attacks (2008): 166 killed. Despite all this, India kept playing Pakistan, influenced by sickulars like Sayema. #WATCH | Delhi: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri says, "Recognising the seriousness of this terrorist attack, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) decided upon the following measures- The Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 will be held in abeyance with immediate effect until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism. 2) The integrated checkpost Attari will be closed with immediate effect. Those who have crossed over with valid endorsements may return through that route before 1st May 2025. 3) Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India. 4) The Defence, Military, Naval, and Air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi are declared persona non grata. They have a week to leave India. 5) India will be withdrawing its own Defence, Navy and Air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in the respective High Commissions are deemed annulled.
