Those baths made me realize the world was a cold place from the jump

The part I always dreaded the most was when my mum began to pour the water. It always felt like I was drowning, so I started swallowing the bath water as a coping mechanism to survive. Good old days tho 😅

Gen Z kids will never know this level of character building 💦

Did all mothers in the world treat their children the same way? We experienced the same things in Türkiye. How could we have experienced the same thing in different places?

Lol mum would cover my nose & mouth with a wet flannel before dumping water over my head. In theory to stop soap going in my eyes, it didn't. But bugger waterboarded me.😆

You went to sleep afterwards but not because the bath was soothing, you were tired and sore afterwards.

Dude, baths be like: you're either relaxing or wrestling with a slippery soap bar trying not to drown. Survival of the cleanest

That’s why these kids so soft burning eyes built charecter

it was such a war zone

My lola use live rock (as they say) to scrub my body. When I cry I have instant pinch at the side for my ribs 😂 That's how I mastered the art of Poker Face.🤪🤪🤪😂

The best part of the internet is seeing your life's memories acted out in memes🤣🤣🤣 accurate ASF

Why Gen X is a warrior generation waiting to be unlocked… 😆

fighting for your life baths! shampoo all up in your eyes, sputtering water "calm down, you're alright" as my mom is waterboarding me lmao

Me and my friends tried waterboarding because we don't believe it's a form of torture. All of them panicked after 10 or 15 seconds while i could last until they stopped (they thought i was dead). They asked how and why? "My mother used to do worse when she was showering me"

Our moms wanted to teach us the world ain’t easy EARLY😭

This is also the difference between first child and second child

Eventually you realize resistance if futile and just let mom have at it while you scream “ there’s soap in my eyes!!!”

dogs are like

My 2 Yr old loves essentially being waterboarded. He doesn't have one of those shield things, and when he sits or stands in the bath, and I pour water over his hair and face, he says "more", and if I don't do it he gets the jug and tries to do it himself

Humare time par kahan thi ye cheeze

Non of u experienced what some Iranian kids go through! Some moms used these peeling gloves made of hemp fabric and ceruse (white lead) to scrub kids every week. That black item is called pemuice which is like a hard spong made of volcano. Used to peel the sole!kids had 2b clean

Literally my only "rule" Be home before the street lights come on

They treat us like their washing laundry 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@jungle_dancer Леле, мајка ми вака ме бањаше, божем сум копала во рудници во Африка😬

We literally went through military drills as kids 😭 My mom gave me sprite once and I spat it out thinking it was medicine. That was the last drop too. This happened in 2004 and I still can't forget it 😭

Where are the Brillo?

Generation of yesterryears gather here 😅😂

It was like they intended to peel of our skin when we were younger.. More like fighting war with an innocent child

You gotta scrub the eyes whilst open, or it's not realistic.

Pretty close. When I showed up at night after disappearing 12 hours in the woods I would just get the hose. 😂

Best reenact I've seen recently 😆

@FlawedWidow 😂🤣 This... 💯 Truth!!! 🤣😂
