Avg speed of fast pitch: MLB 92-95 mph Cricket: 80-90 mph Speed by time it reaches batter: MLB: 83-87 mph Cricket: 65-80 mph depending on bounce Travel time from release to batter: MLB: 0.40-0.44 sec Cricket: 0.45-0.55 sec Effective reaction time: MLB: 0.15 sec Cricket: 0.20-0.30 sec Being that we can actually measure all this by average speed of throw, distance from release to batter, and more, we can just scientifically prove which one is harder to hit. I'll even throw in a graph. 2 extra points to hitting these two pitches. 1) A baseball bat has a smaller surface than a cricket bat to hit the ball. 2) A baseball player has a 90 degree wedge of field to put the ball in play where in cricket you have a full 360 degrees. 270 of those degrees in baseball, hitting the ball is the same as missing it unless you already have 2 strikes.

Do cricket fans realize that videos like this are basically the equivalent of a bowler throwing a hitter only slow full tosses in cricket, then that hitter claiming cricket is easy only based on that. The velocity is almost the entire reason why professional baseball is difficult
