Days when the internet was cut off and we all knew something horrible was happening. That’s why we say “kose nanat” to people like you and her, because that really describes you best. Your hatred for Pahlavi is greater than your hatred for the Islamic regime. So again, KOSE NANAT.

I don’t agree with people attacking others for their opinions. I often see people say Prince Reza Pahlavi would not be a good leader, but they rarely offer a realistic alternative or a clear pathway forward. The fact is, he has not claimed he wants to become King. He has consistently said his role would be to help lead a transition and then hold a referendum so the people of Iran can decide their system of government and their next leader. I understand there are concerns, especially from hardline monarchists or those wary of past systems. But in the absence of a unified and credible alternative, constantly attacking one of the few figures capable of mobilising attention and coordination risks weakening the broader movement rather than strengthening it.

She has a right to her opinion. Oddly enough, as the situation has unwound, I spend a lot of my time supporting Iranians and the diaspora, but if I say a few words here and there they don’t like, they get quite hostile. Many are on edge, PTSD from what they’ve been through.
