Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever: Russian Central Bank’s money — the immobilized assets, not frozen assets, are mostly located in Belgium. You cannot simply take someone else’s money. We are not at war with Russia. Europe is not at war with Russia. You cannot simply confiscate money — that is an act of war, and it should not be underestimated. It has never happened in history. Even during the Second World War, immobilized assets were never confiscated. Doing so now would be the first time in history, and it would have serious consequences.

The daily combat results of the Ukrainian army, our special forces, and deep strikes – these are all proof that Ukraine can defend its interests. Now every eliminated Russian occupier, every replenishment of our exchange fund for Ukraine, every Russian assault Ukrainians have repelled, every piece of destroyed Russian equipment, every deep strike we carry out – these are all arguments showing that it’s worth standing with Ukraine, worth helping Ukraine, and that it is not Ukraine that must be pressured for peace, but Russia – the sole reason this war drags on.

President of Ukraine: We will work calmly with the US and all our partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner. We will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This is the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians, because everything else is based on this: our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people, and Ukraine's future. We will and must do everything we can to ensure that in the end, there is an end to the war and not an end to Ukraine, Europe, and global peace. I have just spoken with Europeans, and we are counting on our European friends, who understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the EU's borders, and that Ukraine is now the only shield separating comfortable European life from Putin's plans. We remember that Europe was with us, and we believe that Europe will be with us. Ukraine should not experience déjà vu of February 24, when we felt that we were alone, when no one could stop Russia except our heroic people, who stood as a wall against Putin's army.
