Every Derrick Harmon pass-rush rep vs. the Falcons in Week 1: Yeah, I hate to say it, but Harmon has zero pass-rush plan. He has so much work to do in this part of his game. Learn a club/swim from Benton; a bull rush from Heyward... something. #Steelers

Yall worried about the wrong shit. His job is not to pass rush… he eats double teams and takes control of his gaps. Just like Casey Hampton, Steve Mclendon, and Brett Kiesel. Y’all are expecting cam heyward out of Derrick Harmon and that’s unfair to him, give him some time

In a lot of these hes taking up two guys so he’s doing his job in that sense

A few double teams here, but you just want to see a better plan. He has the traits to explode off the ball, but that's not what he did in Week 1.

Truth be told, he was the same way with Oregon - he has never been one with a strong pass-rush arsenal.

My guy he was double teamed in like half of these clips you posted a whole lotta nothin and thought it was a whole lotta somethin

Sometimes a lineman's job is to eat up blockers, let the linebackers eat. I know it has been a while since we saw this concept, but he is taking on 2 blockers several times there and opening it up for the linebackers.

He’s getting double teamed every play which allows every other more elite defensive lineman/edge to get 1v1 every play. Him getting doubled allowed multiple pressures and sacks to happen.

His Job is not to pash rush. Stop the run and keep 2 lineman occupied to free up his inside linebackers. That's his job

Derrick Harmon sucks Drafting Harmon over Dart and Shough has set this franchise back 5+years. Much More devastating than the Pickett pick. Dart was the guy, he fell, didn’t even need to trade up. Makes me have a sinking feeling in my stomach Better draft a QB in 2027

😬

Wow you’re right man. This doesn’t exactly scream 1st rounder smh

Hes a run defender specialist, Im actually happy that he is our lineman eating the double teams on the pass reps…allows edges and Cam or Benton to get the 1 on 1. Agree though would like to see better but don’t think he was ever a good pass rusher even in college

He was doubled most of the time......what're you saying bud

I dont see what’s bad here. He takes on double teams and holds his lane. Thats his primary responsibility. Getting to the QB is secondary.

Oof....

Eating two interior lineman regularly while gaining ground has enormous value. Gotta account for the right stuff.

Fucks wrong w you?? He soaked up double teams… the only guy in those clips. Fuck!

I remember when people thought cam heyward was gonna be a bust….

Passed on Jaxon draft for this dude 🤦♂️

He doesn't look bad but he doesn't look like anything special in these snaps. Atlanta has a top 10 o line.

Using one snap is hilarious and speaks to what you know about football lol

Now let see ur game tapes

Same as college. Predictable.

Dunning Kruger. You don’t know what they ask him to do. Have you talked to him to know if he has a “plan?”

Yet another first round blunder

Interesting .. I see double teams every play

He was doubled on every rep. You don’t know shit about lineman on either side of the ball. Do yourself a favor and stick to podcasts and stop trying to analyze football. It’s not for u

Needs to learn quick

@Osamabears

Looking like another wasted 1st round pick by Omar…smh

Wouldn’t being double teamed be somewhat of a success because it frees up a gap somewhere else for a teammate?

Honestly why they double teaming him lol. I like that they are since we have so many good pass rushers around him.

He’s occupying two people most of the time. That sets up the Edge game, and inside blitzes that will come when needed!

I think people would be less critical if he wasnt the team’s first round pick. It’s the organizations fault for taking a guy with minimal pass rushing upside that high and Harmon is doing what he is supposed to do in the run game.
