Worked construction for 10+ years and wanted a new challenge and something new. started to learn html, css, js and a few years of studying evenings and weekends, bootcamp etc. I am proud to say I am now a senior software developer.

I think I have an extended bio in my X Profile that goes into this a bit. I had a very long voice chat with a language model about this too. That resulted in that summary. Super short. Age - 11 loved Oregon Trail Age - 12 became a SysOp for BBS May have hacked school’s token ring network to run Doom and accelerated my ummm. Interest due to eternal grounding. Coded for big companies doing cool stuff. Found money and work with a life was not a life. Quit code. Learned to Surf. Met a girl. Moved back. Girl gone. Dog died. Brother died. Now two things barely sort of bring some joy. Coding. Building. Being in Nature. However trauma and tragedy are toiling me hard. I’m have a hard time doing anything at all. I miss the Oregon Trail.

One day, I’ll say my story was about developing an open source platform called Geoglify, focused on port management.

Sad story

Hey @github, it’s fascinating how each developer's journey is unique and influenced by different tools and challenges. My dev story is all about diving into open source and the joy of seeing my contributions grow. What’s one of the most interesting stories you’ve seen on your platform lately?

ChatGPT :/

The first Watch_Dogs game inspired me to do something worthwhile and something cool and it turned out alright 💪

........ i bet you started so many stories today with all those announcements . . . . github copilot in xcode ?!? anthropic openai ... the only integration left out was @grok but thats cause grok doesn't code all that well yet . . for now
