Every fear that going to an arbitration hearing against Corbin Burnes could harm his relationship with the Brewers was founded. “There’s no denying that the relationship is definitely hurt from what [transpired],” Burnes said.

Corbin Burnes said the Brewers made him a two-year offer a day or two before the hearing that was “pretty poor.” That, he said, was the only mention so far of any sort of multi-year deal.

Further context: The Brewers never made Burnes a two-year offer, per a source. What Burnes was referring to when he said that were some last-minute offers that added a club- or mutual option for 2024. But Burnes and his camp considered them “pretty poor,” as he said.

“Basically put me in the forefront for the reason we didn’t make the postseason last year” I sure as hell hope the Brewers didn’t say at the hearing… Burnes is the reason why they had a chance for the playoffs. He started every time he was slated to. Not a good look… Yikes

Here's to all the people telling us that this is just how the process goes and every player understands it and the Brewers didn't mess anything up...

"put me at the forefront of why we didn't make the postseason last year" what a joke. I can give you 100 reasons why we didn't make it. How about .257 being the highest avg on the team?????

Attanasio needs to sell to someone whos committed to winning a World Series. Take notes from the Bucks owners.
