CapCut Design Studio changed the way I think about creating with AI. For a long time, creating with AI felt less like creating and more like managing files—generate, export, switch tools, edit, re-upload, repeat. The ideas were flowing, but the workflow kept getting in the way. What's changing now isn't just image quality, it's the creative process itself. This video shows how I used CapCut Design Studio to build an autumn fashion poster from scratch. I started on the infinite canvas to explore styles, then used the pencil to easily remove unwanted elements and even swap out outfits to find the perfect look for my model. Also, I used the text editing feature to instantly translate my poster into multiple languages without losing the original aesthetic. If I ever need more options, the 'One More' feature automatically creates multiple creative variations with one click. I wanted to create something that felt timeless a chocolate brown Lamborghini Countach, an old-money atmosphere, a powerful woman, a luxury mansion party, natural daylight, authentic human interactions, and a commercial so realistic it wouldn't feel AI-generated at all. So I sat down with ChatGPT and explained the vision in detail. First, we built the story. I described the world, the mood, the characters, the setting, and the feeling I wanted viewers to experience. From there, ChatGPT helped transform that vision into a complete narrative, turning scattered ideas into a cinematic concept. Next came the planning stage. The story was broken down into a professional commercial timeline, scene by scene, shot by shot, exactly how a luxury automotive campaign would be storyboarded by a creative director and videographer. Then we went even deeper. Every scene was translated into detailed prompts, camera directions, movement instructions, lighting setups, slow-motion sequences, environmental details, character positioning, and luxury automotive close-ups. Once the sequence felt perfect, those ideas were converted into structured JSON prompts to maintain consistency throughout the project. After that, I generated individual storyboard images for every scene. Each image became a visual reference frame representing a specific moment of the commercial the mansion, the audience, the old-money styling, the Countach hero shots, the interior reveals, the scissor doors, and the final cinematic departure. Last week, we lowered the close to 2,100,000-pound Basemat into place — the foundation for the G7's first Small Modular Reactor and Canada's first new nuclear build in more than 30 years. One of the largest crawler cranes in the world lowered the Basemat module into the reactor shaft at the Darlington New Nuclear Project site — 35 metres below ground. It’s the first time in Canada a foundation for a reactor building was assembled modularly – putting the “M” in SMR – as the giant component was fabricated, welded, and put together in one piece before being lifted into place. This was a milestone months in the making, requiring significant attention to detail and safety, as well as the hard work of dedicated trades and project partners. One thing I’ve observed is that most project challenges don’t begin during construction, they begin long before the brief is even properly defined. Questions like: Is the budget realistic? Am I truly prepared to start this project? Which professional competence can I rely on to guide me through it? When these are not clearly addressed at the outset, the project becomes much harder to control in terms of cost, time, and quality. Proper planning and early professional input make the entire process more predictable, structured, and efficient. And one key principle to always remember: the best way to save cost in construction is to do it right the first time.

KILL YOUR DARLINGS One of the hardest skills to develop as a storyteller is learning to kill your darlings. Whether it’s a character, a design, a shot, or even an entire sequence, the fact that something works doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best version of itself. I often see people using AI and falling in love with the first or second iteration because it’s already impressive. The tools have become so good that they make it incredibly tempting to stop there. I try to do the opposite. The Light Within has already gone through countless visual iterations, and I’m sure it will go through many more before it’s finished. Every new pass is an opportunity to ask a simple question: Is this really the version I want to spend years of my life bringing into the world? Sometimes the answer is yes. Quite often, it’s no. This is one of those earlier screen tests. Looking back at it reminds me how much the project has evolved, and why falling in love with the process is far more valuable than falling in love with the first idea. PS: also never say never.. as I rewatch this iteration there js a lot I still very much like.

One UI 8.5, on the other hand, delivers top-tier performance, especially after my own tuning and optimization. Whether opening an app or returning to the home screen, the animations feel almost perfectly synchronized with your finger movements. The response is immediate, the transitions are smoother, and the overall experience feels more natural and connected.

The Fed talks about soft data. Surveys. How people feel. Danielle DiMartino Booth says, "Do not ignore what is in the hard data." There are more than 7 million unemployed Americans. But only about one in four is collecting unemployment benefits. Why? "When I was born, unemployment benefits covered 66% of what you needed just to get by. Today, they cover 33%." For many households, benefits no longer cover basic expenses. More people take on multiple jobs. More people participate in the gig economy. More Americans continue working later in life. And that 1.8 million continuing claimants number that looks so clean every week? "That's only a quarter of the unemployed. And it's only 14% of the broader universe of those who would take a job if they could get one." The BLS revisions tell the rest of the story. Every month in Q2 2025 was revised lower. By Q3, the revised data showed the labor market was weaker than headline numbers initially suggested. "A monkey could tell you that you were in a recession." Yet recession calls are rarely straightforward. Policymakers must weigh conflicting economic signals, revisions, and uncertainty before making definitive statements about the state of the economy.
