Throughout the ongoing NBA elections, I have received reports from lawyers across the country who say they have been unable to cast their votes due to challenges with the voting process. Regrettably, I have also been unable to cast my own vote despite repeated attempts. We have records showing that the system allows people to vote twice, when it should be one member one vote. Having served my people faithfully and delivered tangible results in Awka North and South, I realized that to deepen our progress and truly secure a better future, we must align with a movement that embodies fairness, accountability, and opportunity for all. It was a profound privilege to engage with the leadership and dedicated members of our great NDC family in Alimosho LGA; ward chairmen and secretaries, youth leaders, women leaders, and our committed LGA executives. I shared a bit of my journey, the experiences that have shaped me, and the conviction that led me to answer the call of public service. More importantly, I laid out my vision for a Lagos that truly works for all: a Lagos anchored in competence, accountability, and genuine, people-centered service. I am deeply grateful for the warmth, the enthusiasm, and the openness with which I was received. The thoughtful questions, the honest conversations, and the opportunity to listen to the concerns and aspirations of the people who are the lifeblood of this great state. “We will not submit to noise, rascality, or disobedience to lawful court orders. We must uphold democracy, respect the judiciary whether it favours us or not, and remain faithful to the principles that hold our nation together. There is no path to national greatness except the path of building one country, one common vision, one shared future of progress and prosperity for all Nigerians. That is what Renewed Hope is about. They cannot scare me off. I have been through this road before and, if I must walk it again and again for our country, I will. There is no better place than Nigeria, and no one will build it for us except ourselves. I have listened. I know the journey is not easy. But I give you my word: I will not run away from this task. I will not give up. From the suffragettes through to modern inventions and splitting the atom and the invention of the modern computer." "We've changed the world in many ways in the past, but Greater Manchester's potential lies in its future. And when Westminster walked away from us, when we were struggling as a deindustrialized city region, it was the people in this place that began the journey to rebuild." "And people often ask me, what is it that I feel makes Greater Manchester so special? And it's our people and our communities. And during this campaign, I've got to see that firsthand in every single corner of this city region." "In every pride, village, town, and both our cities, I find fantastic people doing incredible things against the odds every single day. This is the power of the Smile Back Foundation and ORCAA. I have seen the impact with my own eyes and it is something I believe in because it is genuine. The doctors I have met here are doing this out of care and love for people who thought they would never smile again. Every single dollar counts. That is why Dr. Simon Oh and I have pledged together that if we reach our goal and raise enough funds, I will make it my mission to give back at least one smile every month to one of my fans or their family members who cannot afford the care they need. While the outcome has been disappointing, we all worked very hard and ran a very positive campaign. It is because of that 3.4 lakh people of Thiruvananthapuram came out and supported us, which is a record in itself. As I said on 5th March when I came here, it is my mission to transform Thiruvananthapuram, and I stand by it. My commitment to the city is not only through the prism of elections; it is something that I have made my mission, and I will certainly be here to serve the people for years to come.
