Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! It was a dream to wear the Olive Green since my NCC days. But somehow the dream was overshadowed by the need to get an immediate job. Joined SAIL. Then IAS happened. Once in the district, life becomes so fast and it left no time to even think. But, at times the longing used to surface, while seeing the RD parade on the TV or while meeting local military officers. Then one day, @ShouryArya happen to mention about the TA and re-ignited my desire again to join the Army. He took me to his unit. Gave me confidence that I can clear SSB, though I was 40 already! I trained. My wife @SalmaFahimIAS encouraged me. Sat for the TA exam. Cleared the SSB in 2013 and got commissioned in 2014! Ah, wearing the OG and pipped by the wife was a bliss! Post-Commission trg in IMA in 2018. IMA! Finally! Still ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’ rings in my ears. 12 years in TA. This year I will be hanging my boots at the age of 54 with a sense of satisfaction, unmatched happiness and gratefulness. Jai Hind!🫡

Very true. After getting rejected from SSB i called to my parents that i could not make. Just adjacent to my phone booth there was another and other person was selected and he was calling someone to inform. That day still is in front of my eye.

Thats true of almost every competitive exam in life buddy....IIT-JEE, CAT, UPSC, GATE, GRE, Your Ex....endless list ..you move on in life but one corner of your heart never lets you forget your dream and the struggle that you did to achieve that before giving up
