A foreigner asked me, “Are Japanese people still wearing masks because they’re scared of viruses?” Honestly? Not really. Of course, some people wear masks for health reasons. But many Japanese people wear them because they didn’t do their makeup. Because they forgot to shave. Because they look tired. Because they don’t feel like talking. Many people latched on to it simply because they knew it would get them views, not because they’re truly “antisemitic”. That being said, does it really matter if they don’t believe what they’re saying? The people who follow them believe what they’re saying, and that’s why this has become so dangerous.
